There is no doubt they would do it in a park too. I remember fishing in a stream on a golf course at Benbrook lake (behind the spillway) and an enormous owl (7+ foot wing span) swooped down out of a tree right next to me and snatched my bobber out of the water!
I mean he was less than 10 feet from me. (I could feel the whoosh of air from his wings) As I backed up, he picked it up and started to fly away. The string went taut and I yanked it out of his claws and he flew back up to his perch in the tree. |
