I think it would be unlikely if he did get a HC position. No one prefers defensive minded head coaches, much less retread defensive minded head coaches who consistently put miserable, boring offenses on the field and have only taken their teams to the playoffs once in the last 5 seasons.
Retread coaches that are in high demand get snapped up quickly (Andy Reid). If any team felt Lovie was the guy, they would have snapped him up by now. It's not like he's some unproven commodity that requires a lot of background checking.
