this can be fixed THIS off-season. here's how:

go after the best FA OL that they can afford (restructure a few deals and get Long or some other good OL); then, use the first round pick on the best OL available when they select;

Then you have an OL of Long, Livings, Costa, (Insert 1st rounder), Smith...Free, if still on the team, battle for one of the Guard positions

DLine in the 2nd round

Grab Osi (if affordable)
Ware, Ratliff, Hatcher/Osi, Crawford/2nd rounder

if the team is healthy, then the D is in better shape to hide the DL deficiencies than the offense based on Carter, Lee, DB's...
