Maybe currently but that's only because the people who are up for induction went to the Pro Bowl at a time when it actually had significance.
For a guy up for induction for the first time, his last possible Pro Bowl was what....2007?
Even then it was considered a joke but as much as it was considered as such it was also viewed with much higher regard than it is now.
A time will come when Pro Bowl attendance will not make a case for induction because attendance has all but lost it's meaning at this point and the only sense Pro Bowl attendance will be used as a measure of HOF worthiness is when players never go to the Pro Bowl over the span of a career because everyone goes to the Pro Bowl.
The Pro Bowl is a joke. The voting process is a joke.
I think we are already at such a time but I doubt it's all that widely acknowledge.
In the future, Pro Bowl attendance will not make a case for inclusion. Instead a lack of attendance will likely be a strong case for exclusion.
