Will Tivo destroy my life? I really like TV. Especially the shows with rich, young, healthy men getting physical. Will Tivo consume the 5 hours I have remaining every day?
[View Full Quote]From August to June I am NFL & NBA sprung. I've got it bad. Will Tivo have me checking into Television Rehab? I still haven't recovered from my first exposure to NFL Sunday Ticket. Now, I can't live without it. I want to move into a new apartment but I am fearful that they won't let me bring my DirecTV. (Forget them :p !!! I've got NFL Sunday Ticket!!!) I'll just have to keep parking my car 3 doors down so that the neighborhood alcoholic won't crash into my car.) It took me 2 years to give in to NBA League Pass. I don't want to OD on Tivo. LOL
I still have a lot of questions. I guess I'll have to call DirecTV to find out more info.

Gee, this board is destroying my life, why should I care if tivo destroys yours?
Just kidding!
All tivo will do that you can't do now is allow you to tape games this fall while you are watching another. Assuming you have just one direct tv receiver. That means if you like to follow a player on another team, you can see those games too. To a great extent, Sunday Ticket get wasted without tivo. It just lets you take advantage of what you are already paying for.
Tivo, like direct tv, won't make us any more football crazy than we already are, and since we are both "out of market" football fans, it was heaven sent for us.
