Look at his production over the last few years. When is the last time he broke 4.0 ypc? Only one starting back averaged fewer ypc than Hambrick's 3.5 last year. That was....yep....you guessed it....Eddie George. And this with a better o-line, a better team, AND one of the best QB's in the league.
EG runs the same way Hambrick did. Run two steps, get bumped, fall down. You could put redwood trees on defense and neither one of them could run 2 yards past the line of scrimmage.
The only reason I don't mind the signing is he brings experience, leadership and he's a camp body the 'Boys needed at RB. If he's anything more than a short yardage, goalline back getting maybe 10 carries a game, we've just seriously weakened our run attack for 2004 by going back to what we had in 2003.
