[View Full Quote]The San Diego trade seems much more unlikely. However, I can think of a few reasons why Jammer could possibly on the block. As mentioned, they are desperate for WR's, so maybe a deal involving Bryant would make sense. They drafted two CB's in the first two rounds the year before in Sammy Davis in the 1st round and Drayton Florence (who they absolutely love) in the 2nd round. In fact, I've heard Charger fans say claim that SD feels like Florence will end up better than both Sammy Davis and Quintin Jammer. Also, Jammer hasn't been all that (although he was coming on at the end of last year) and he might have built up some bad blood with the Charger organization with his holdout. The one thing about Jammer is that he was paid the signing bonus of a Top 5 draft pick and he's currently in the 4th year of a 6 year deal ... so if he's traded the Chargers will have to eat the entire accelerated salary of the remaining 3 years, so they will want to be compensated accordingly.
