I don't know. I can see your point, but I just wonder about a guy from a small program making this kind of move.
It just does not make much sense to me. It's not like he has been playing against top level competition. And he is not in a position like Leinart was last year and Young this year. Coming back for another season could have really hurt Leinart's stock last year, and Young's this year.
If Jacobs has a season that causes his stock to fall even further, he is probably not a NFL caliber qb anyway.
