Carpenter is 'football fast'. That's what I see. He may not have graded out as the best in the measurables, but he's up there and you can see he's capable of playing instinctively, which is something you can't coach.
He seems to make the right reads in his Ohio State schemes and we all hope that it tranlates to our 3-4 scheme.
My only concern is how Zimmer and Co. actually use him. They ended up cutting back on Ware last year as the season went on to where he was sort of one-dimensional with pass rushing and was not good at run stopping.
By mid-season, Ware had been neutralized by the offensive coordinators who had his game read and defensed.
And the Dallas coaches didn't change things up at that point to get Ware on track again.
I'm wondering if with the addition of Carpenter, if they won't move Ware around more to get a better result with him..? Leaving Carpenter to take on the run responsibilities more..?
Ware has to be utilized like the days when Haley was here. Haley came from everywhere on the DL to confuse the offense.
Does Carp allow Zimer to do this with Ware..? And does ths best utilize Carp to use him that way..?
