Default Rogers and Peterman - Any Updates???

Title says it all. What's the scoop on these 2? Im assuming all is going well seeing as they didnt touch an Olineman till late in the draft. Can we count on these 2 to begin developing this year? Rivera and Allen cant play forever

I don't think we ever lost hope on Peterman. He got injured, but has ability. Rogers is probably a reason we took the OT when we did, but they still hold onto something.

Honestly, this isn't the time to worry about it. It takes a few years for an OLman to learn the intricacies of playing in the NFL. Most college programs don't develop the OL, if for no other reason, because most colleges don't run true pro-offense. This is why you generally don't see OL go to the probowl until 3-4 years into their career.

Oh i think you misunderstood me. I wasnt asking about how they were progressing as players. Just from their injuries. There were rumors a month or so ago about Rogers possibly retiring. I hope thats not true. He was real good at SC, and Peterman is a friggin monster in the run game. Peterman next to Johnson for the next 8 years makes me drool. Could be as good a combo as the good old Stepnoski/Newton days ... well.... almost

LOL sorry. I overreacted because often there are threads declaring those wasted picks.

Peterman - knee injuries just happen on the line. Often players come back, sometimes they don't. We won't know anything for sure until he plays.

Rogers - the person who posted that rumor got a short vacation - there was NEVER a truth to it. Now, there is probably truth thatParcells is frustrated with him, but as far as retirement? Nah.....

As far as I know, which is not much, Rogers needed surgery to repair his shoulder. He couldn't get his footwork down, and was aparantly in dire need of some added strength. With the shoulder problem, he wont be doing much lifting though...

Peterman looks more certain to really find time this year

Yeah, with Rogers having all the shoulder problems, I have much lower expectations for him right now. After he recovers and then begins to build up additional strength, we have to decide whether to play him at RT or LT. I'm guessing we leave him at LT and decide what to do with Adams next year, possibly moving him to RT.

Peterman will probably ride the bench still with Marco and Allen at guard, but with injuries and such, I think he will see some playing time this year, assuming he bounces back OK from his injury.

Maybe it was JJT or Mick who mentioned the other day that Rogers had a setback early in the offseason. Shoulder injuries take a long time to heal sometimes. Especially to get your strength back.

What is the exact nature of his shoulder injuries/problems and what kind of surgery did he have?
Did you know there are only 5000 Snow Leopards in the wild now and they are confined to Central Asia? However, the effective global population (those likely to reproduce) is less than half that number.
