Default Eagles report from a Browns' fan

I pulled the following assessment from Scout.com. A Browns' fan is merely relaying his impression of the Eagles. Although the poster makes some interesting points, they should be taken with a grain of salt:

Just wanted to say that I wasn't impressed by the Eagles last night. The Browns sat a couple of starters on D and still held them to 3 points for the first half. The Browns also ran the ball O.K. on them without 2 starting O lineman.I realize its preseason but I think your defense will shut the door on that offense.good luck this season....P.S. How's my boy A.Henry?

Eagles= 2nd preseason game in 96 hours.

He should worry more about his Brownies.

Don't want to make too much out of preseason stats but I read where Darren Howard got a sack and so did McDougle. Kearse hasnt panned out as well as they had hoped but Howard and Kearse might be a problem for us.

Howards sack was a TORRIN TUCKER special... u know the one where the TE helps him and Torrin says "u got him?"... before Tucker they were called "LOOK OUT!" blocks! now its the "u got em block". the guy Blocking Howard was #70 it looked like he was run blocking on a pass play...NOOOO!!!! he was a waste bender not a knee bender... he was trying to pass block!!!

I didnt see Kearse but I have it on tape so I will check it out!

the guy I fear v. FLO is TRENT COLE i think thats his name #58... He may be as fast as Ware just without the body lean...

sorry, this not from a FF mag or from some fantasy rankings I googled, thats just what I saw on the limited TV broadcast last night!

Hank Baskett will lead the Iggs in yards! How could Ireland miss that kid?

He was undrafted. That usually happens for a reason.

This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

The Eagles aren't taking all teams seriously this year ...especially NFC-East teams. Let's see, our second team put Points on the board against the Brown's second team. And when the Browns 1st Team was busy holding our 1st team to Only 3-points, our 1st team defense was holding their 1st string to zero Points

Good Hunting ...or Tally-Ho! (Hunt cry "the prey has been sighted") " Tallio, Hoix, Hark, Forward,"
which is a corruption of the French hunter's call. Four hundred years ago the French hunter encouraged his dogs with the musical cry of "Thia-hilaud a qui forheur!" sometimes printed "Tya-hillaut a qui forheur!" From this the English manufactured "Tallio, hoix, hark, forward."

To be fair, the Eagles' top four backs sat out the game with injuries (how shocking!), and Reno Mahe lasted one series (13 plays) before being taken out with a concussion.

I'm with you Gryphon. I really am more worried about the Giants than either the Iggles or the Redskins. And I think that the Browns will have a pretty good team in a couple of years. Their offense is young and should end up being pretty exciting.
