As a gator fan............ he's the bomb. He will come out after the bowl game. The gator nation will miss "the eraser"!!!!!!! I'd love to see him in a cowboy uniform.

I still think Pat Watkins will be the man at safety. I don't see him entering next season as anything less than #1 on the depth chart at FS. The guy is too physically gifted not to be starting.

How fast is he? He looks rail thin to me and looks like he may be better suited to playing a physical corner.
Nelson on the outside, Henry moved inside?

I dont think we should grab a safety unless LaRon Landry miraculously falls to us.

I dont think the Cowboys will draft a safety with their first round pick even if he is the "best available player".
But I go to ga tech and I think (scratch that, I know) Charles Johnson is the REAL DEAL. He is big ( 6-5, 230), fast (between 4.3 and 4.4), and superb hands. Hey I understand that the majority of recievers taken in the first round turn out to be bust or never make the impact that warrent such a high pick on them but this guys will be worth it. The only reason he fell off in the Heisman race is he has a quincy carter type qb and chan gaily quit calling the plays. This guy will be a star and the cowboys should do whatever it takes to get him to be ROMO's receiver for the coming years. He is a combination of Moss and T.O. (without the attitude).
The question is what would you give up to get him. I say make a trade with whatever team that's picking that high for keith davis, chris canty, patrick crayton, our 1st, 3rd, and 4th ( we have two) and maybe our 2nd next year. It may sound like alot but we would be getting the bargain.
What would you propose?

Yeah really, you have to question a guy who doesn't know the name of the Best reciever in College football, that goes to the same college as he does. Or for that matter, if he does really watch college ball.

I think you meant Calvin Johnson and while i would give up almost anything to get him, the Titans have their eyes set on him because they want n need him to be Vince's guy and with them being most likely havin a top 3 pick we would have to at the very least trade this years 1st rd pick and next years. even then i doubt they would accept the trade that would drop them to the low 20's when they need impact players even if it isnt Johnson.

I agree that going after a catalyst playmaker like Calvin Johnson would be a good move. It'd give us a young and dynamic WR to be Romo's guy for the rest of Romo's career. Also, I won't be surprised if Calvin Johnson becomes one of the top 5 WRs in the NFL 3,4,or 5 years down the road.
I also like Jarrett a lot but he seems more of a risk if you're talking about trading away several draft picks to move up and get him.
Another guy I really like is Steve Smith from USC. He seems like he has the potential to replace someone like TG.
If we don't decide to go that route....a trade down out of the first to the first part of the second...I'd love to see us grab Aaron Ross from Texas. I hate UT but I remember wanting Vasher a few years back and screaming when we passed on him...(he turned out pretty well). I like Ross though because he's excellent cover guy who could eventually replace A Glenn AND he is pretty nifty at returning punts.
In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Ross proves that he's good enough to move Henry to FS a few years down the road.
Still left to accomplish:
sign OT Winston or G Moore

That's just insane. He's good w/ the potential to be great and probably the best WR prospect since Roy Williams, but that's just too much.
I'd rather wait to see if Jarrett falls closer to where we pick. If not, go the route of OL or maybe even CB.
We could probably also go after the likes of Chris Chambers or Andre Johnson and give up a lot less than what it would take to trade up to get Calvin Johnson.
