An early corner is a must, but we're not going to take an interior lineman early in the draft.
If Greg doens't look like he'll come back (or like he won't ever up to 100%) we have to get a pass-rusher opposite Ware. There are several good DEs/Tweeners around that area late in the first round.

Nice comeback.
The only thing you said in that post that I agree with is Wade Phillips is > than Zimmer, but thanks for pointing out the obvious there.

when has Merriman ever "taken over a game"....I've never seen it...and in this day and age I dont think any defensive players are capable of taking over a game on their own anymore...LT did it in the 80's...Reggie White did some......teams had to block Randy White with 3 guys when he was really dominant...other than them, not many guys "take over games"
Ware's production will improve with better coaching...Jimmy Johnson and Charles Haley have both recently alluded to the fact they think Ware is mus-used, and they are right...when the guy rushes the passer 90% or more of the time, his numbers will really stand out

You use DWare the same way as Merriman and he will break Strahans sack record legitimately (the QB won't need to lie down for the last one).

Something is very wrong if we don't take OL with our first two picks. That is by far the WORST area on the team and NEEDS to be upgraded immediately or Dallas will never go anywhere. Other than that, man, i'd SURE love to trade up somehow and get Calvin Johnson. I've been watching college football for 20 years and I don't think i've seen a WR as awesome as he is. He is going to destroy the NFL.

The extensive list of needs we have indicates to me we had better keep TO for at least one more year. We need O-Line help in the worst way...an investment here seems a must to me regardless of what we do in FA.

And B. Cox as LB coach. Two guys who kick the living S-word out of the players. Bring the "fear of God" into them.

Quentin moses sucks. He was all-everything and did NOTHING this year. He was outplayed by UGA's other DE, Charles Johnson. I want nothing to do with this bum.

My friend, you are DREAMING.
First of all, Johnson absolutely, positively, definitely does NOT go any lower than Miami at #9 and even then I would be BLOWN AWAY. I think he goes to Tampa Bay at #4. Galloway is their best receiver and he's 34 years old.
As for o-line, yes, Dallas desperately needs to upgrade, but even with the unit we have we scored at least 17 points in EVERY game but the last Philly game. What Dallas MUST do is correct the defensive problems.
I think if no coaching changes occur we will end up drafting either FS, DT or DE in the first few rounds.
That said, who knows what they'll do? Just when you think the player we desperately need falls in our laps we trade out for another TE or something.

Right, which is why I said "somehow". I know that's very, super, very, extremely unlikely. I think that kid is a once in a generation talent at WR, though, and if there's a player to trade up for in the last 6 years or so, its him.
I think getting a real DC would do wonders for our defensive problems. We don't lack talent on that end, that's for sure.

I think I'd like to see if we can sign one or two of Adalius Thomas, Nate Clements, and Lance Briggs, then address the OL with the 1st two picks of the draft.
