From NFL Draft Countdown:

Strengths:
Terrific athlete...Timed speed is exceptional...Has ideal size with long arms and a solid frame...Great leaper with excellent ball skills and body control...Deep threat who can stretch the field vertically...Hands are adequate...A strong and physical guy who plays big...Elusive and runs well after the catch...Still has a lot of upside.

Weaknesses:
Underachiever who doesn't play up to his potential...Needs to become a better route runner...Raw and needs to work on his technique and master the nuances of the position...Will have lapses in concentration and drop some balls...Average as a blocker...He was never very productive and had a terrible senior campaign.

I watched the video. Here's my observations about Paul Williams ....

- good hands

- Big target

- Fast

- Does not want to go down when hit (could be costly; could get injured)

- Plays good college ball agaisnt college secondaries

I'm not impressed yet. I don't believe he's been matched up properly, like he will be in the NFL. Could go either way.

Good Hunting ...or Tally-Ho! (Hunt cry "the prey has been sighted") " Tallio, Hoix, Hark, Forward,"
which is a corruption of the French hunter's call. Four hundred years ago the French hunter encouraged his dogs with the musical cry of "Thia-hilaud a qui forheur!" sometimes printed "Tya-hillaut a qui forheur!" From this the English manufactured "Tallio, hoix, hark, forward."

Could be a steal, then again could drop off the face of the earth.
yup he had a down yr, but that had more to do with the QB situation this yr in fresno. paul was blessed his first yr starting in 05, he had paul pinegar throwing him the ball. most people thought he would come out of the draft last yr because basically he would be stuck this yr with 2 freshman QB's. and neither of them took control of the passing game. last yr he might have went early 2nd with all his hype after destroying both boise and usc secondarys. but he had promised his mom and dad before they died 18 months ago his dad being the last to pass, that he would stay in school and graduate. he's one of them kids that knows if ur good enough the money will be there.

Paul Williams IMO is the most underrated WR in the Draft. I don't know if anyone notices, but I always am on here pumping up Fresno St. players. I wanted to dallas to get Logan Mankins and James Sanders when they came out that year, both were reachable, but the Patriots got them (1st and 2nd rounders) and they both start. I wanted Richard Marshall when he came out this year, he starts for Carolina I belive and had a pretty good season for a rookie. This year I am all for Dallas getting Marcus McCauley at Corner, Paul Willams at WR, and Kyle Young at C/OG. The reason I pump up Fresno st. a lot is because even though they don't have a recruiting system like USC or THE U, Pat Hill always seems to find Gems that he recruits. As far as QB goes from Fresno, I always say they produce some good backups..lol...as for Paul Williams his Senior season was off for one reason and one Reason only, he was injured for like 6 games, had he played I think he would have had a terrific senior seaon. He also has played with some EXTREMELY garbage QBs the last couple years but can still produce.

Brian Robinson, DE out of Texas is a guy a lot of teams are interested in, including the Cowboys. He has interviewed with them at the Shrine practices already according to reports. He's undersized but is whipping guys off the pass rush drills and letting them know about it. He could be the 34 OLB we are looking at.

Actually, it was a thread from another board, and I can't find it right now... however, I made notes about the other players mentioned, and here's a list of them:

Herbert Taylor, OT, TCU... 6-4, 285 pounds, 5.05 second 40 time... unless he's bulked up some, I doubt he has the size needed to succeed in the NFL... the 15th rated tackle on the NFLDraftCountdown board, which would project him right now to the 5th or 6th round...

John Wendling, S, Wyoming... 6-1, 220 pounds, 4.5 second 40... the 6th ranked safety on the NFLDraftCountdown.com board, projected as a Day One pick...

Tyrone Moss, RB, Miami... 5-9, 230 pounds, 4.55 second 40... a big back who ranks 16th on the NFLDraftCountdown list of RBs, which probably puts him in the 4th or 5th round range...

Syvelle Newton, QB/RB/WR, South Carolina... 6-0, 210 pounds, 4.55 second 40... a college quarterback, NFLDraftCountdown rates him as the 38th best WR in this draft, which almost certainly means a 7th rounder or undrafted free agent type...

Paul Williams, WR, Fresno State... 6-2, 210 pounds, 4.35 second 40... the 13th rated WR according to NFLDraftCountdown.com, they consider him a first day pick...

Dan Bazuin, DE/OLB, Central Michigan... 6-3, 270 pounds, 4.7 second 40... this tweener is the 13th rated DE on the NFLDraftCountdown.com board, and another player they consider a likely first day pick...

Daniel Francis, CB, LSU... 5-11, 185 pounds, 4.45 second 40... NFLDraftCountdown lists 38 CBs in their rankings, and Francis doesn't crack the top 38... this means he's a likely 7th rounder at best, or more likely an undrafted rookie free agent...

That's Brian Robison, pal... I'm happy to hear we're checking him out, though I don't know if he has the skillset to move out to linebacker... but I do think he could eventually play DE in the 3-4, once he bulks up into the 285-290 pound range...

My mistake. I think that you are correct. It's Robison.

According to reports, he meet with 11 teams Monday for interviews. Sounds like a lot but? Teams are reported to be Philly, Tampa, Houston, San Fran, Jax, Minn, Carolina, Hags, Atlanta, NE and us.
