KEY » * LaRon Landry
S, LSU
War Room analysis
Strengths: Is an explosive athlete who always is around the ball. Makes strong, violent tackles routinely. Attacks the line of scrimmage against the run. Avoids blocks easily, and closes on ball in a flash. Does not hesitate to dive into the pile. Shows great instincts. Is fast enough to make plays along the sideline in two-deep coverage. Reads routes well, and reacts quickly to passes in front of him. Is fast enough to cover tight ends man-to-man. Is a great tackler in the open field. Has a good build. Shows great focus. Weaknesses: Desire to make hard hits/tackles on every play leads to occasional missed tackles because he launches himself at ball carrier and falls off after making initial contact. Bottom line: Landry has elite physical tools to go along with great instincts, toughness and competitiveness. Landry will be drafted high in the first round and will become a great NFL safety, one who can make an impact against the run and the pass. He also should be a great asset on special teams from Day 1.

Dunno RCF but I think you're out of your tree on needing to replace Kosier at guard along with Rivera.
I would be 99.9% sure that isn't going to happen.
Your FA wish list is insane too.

Sporting News is on drugs if they think that Troy Smith is a better prospect than Quinn.

I like Landry.....just don't know if it makes sense to draft him for the following reasons:
1.Watkins seems to be improving.
2.The real problem with the secondary is not the talent or ability, it's the pass rush or lack thereof.
3.I think Parcells goes linebacker/olineman as he puts a premium on these two positions.

Sounds a lot like RW all over again, Thanks but no Thanks,,,me thinks DE
Desire to make hard hits/tackles on every play leads to occasional missed tackles because he launches himself at ball carrier and falls off after making initial contact

Reggie Nelson is the only Safety worth a 1st for us in my opinion.
I'd much rather look at the kid from V Tech, Michael Griffin, or Brandon Merriweather in the 2nd round than take Landry in the 1st.

Really. I did do that trade on Madden but I gave him up for a 4th Round draft pick. Somebody like the Broncos would love to have Ellis. They love all of the Dallas Cowboys defensivelineman even Michael Myers doing something and Ekuban. Really interesting what you could do with players that really have Talent. Something Parcells really doesn't know how to do. I hope he goes.

If you look at Sporting News mock draft, it's absolutely insane.. They have Quinn going 23rd, Blaylock going like 5th, and Reggie Nelson going like 30th. They're off their rockers.

Why do you want Bill Bates as your QB coach?
