Mocking it up again w/ Summer
height, weight and 40 times provided by NFLDraftCountdown
1st round Notre Dame DE Victor Abiamiri~6'4" 271 4.75 40
excellent athlete w/ great burst and explosion as a pass-rusher, stout at the point of attack, has good range and makes plays in pursuit, versatile and fluid enough to play OLB in the 3-4, shone all week at the Senior Bowl, looking quick and athletic, next to Jamaal Anderson and Amobi Okoye, Victor possesses the best size/speed ratio of any defender in this draft, if we go back to the 4-3, or use much more of that scheme, we're going to need a big, explosive edge rusher w/ the size to hold his own at LDE
ALT: Nebraska DE Adam Carriker, although I don't think Carricker will be there at 22
2nd round Fresno State CB Marcus McCauley~6' 200 4.35 40
tremendous athlete w/ good size and great speed, will be able to play in either man or a zone cover scheme, stock is slipping because his technique isn't up to snuff, and struggled his Senior year, and for the most part at the Senior Bowl week; however, Marcus was a better prospect in college than his teammate Richard Marshall, a 1st round pick of the Panthers, and who played very well as a rookie, when Marcus puts it all together, he's going to be special
3rd round UTEP WR Johnnie Lee Higgins~5'11" 183 4.35 40
lighting-fast, jitter-bug, w/ great hands, who is not afraid to work the middle of the field, has great leaping ability and possesses excellent special teams return potential, in the Senior Bowl week Johnnie practiced as fast as he plays, can start as the PR as a rookie
*can put Johnnie Lee in the 2nd round and switch him w/ a corner such as Tennessee's Jonathan Wade in the 3rd
4th round Penn State DT Jay Alford~6'3" 288 5.10 40
a rugged, penetrating NT who accumulated 32 tackles for loss and 19 sacks his final 2 years in the Big-10, again, if we're going to use more 4-3, or switch back to it, we're going to need to find a penetrating 3-technique DT
5th round Iowa OG Marshal Yanda~6'3" 304 5.10 40
mobile OG who is quick off the snap, can pull and reach the 2nd level, has experience at both OG and OT, comes from a school notable for producing quality Olinemen, most noteably Eric Steinbach, is raw, only 2 years of D-1A experience, and needs to add more weight
*no 6th*
7th round Georgia Tech OT Mansfield Wrotto~6'3" 316 5.15 40
very inexperienced OT, in fact played on the Oline at GTech only once, his Senior year, but his athletic gifts are undeniable: good size, long arms, tremendous quickness and athleticsm, can reach the 2nd level and is strong
7th round Miami WR Ryan Moore~6'3" 225 4.45 40
the next Marques Colston? maybe, but his size and speed makes him a great candidate to be, although he wasn't nearly as productive in college as Colston was
7th round Hawaii RB Nate Ilaoa~5'9" 248 4.70 40
look at this line from his final year at UH: 131 carries, 990 yards, 7.6 yard average, 13 TDs; 67 receptions, 837 yards, 5 TDs, what the heck? most final picks don't last long anyways, there might be something to this kid
to get a better perspective of my draft, this is how I would do free agency:
FS Deon Grant
RG Kris Dielman
QB Anthony Wright
1 or 2 mid-level FAs

I am pretty sure that Dallas has a sixth round pick.
Lost one for Fujita, but gained one from the Jets (Pete Hunter?)

I like it alot. You have a pass rusher in there, and a couple of linemen. Great job!

I agree with Summer, especially with the first pick being a pass rusher. We need to have someone else who is capable of applying pass rush pressure other than just Ware. While there is always the possibility that someone already on the team "may" develop into a pass rusher, it certainly would help our defense out if we picked someone up (either draft or FA) who's forte is rushing the passer. That is the area where I feel we should focus on either in FA or in the early part of the draft.

No more DE's
We are loaded there. If anything w need a NG. More important is a FS and a OG. Blalock is a lock.

its really the first two picks more than anything else
that, and any thought of bringing back Anthony Carter, err Wright as anything with this team
we have plenty of talent on defense and have been using premium picks and alot of cap $$$ on free agents for defense, Phillips will do wonders with whats already here...
its time to infuse the offense with some youthful talent...

I'm not big on Grant, I'd rather move Henry over and pick up Samuels..

I want Aaron Ross. He is the one player I have wanted all season. I will not waiver. I want him in Dallas.

well we still need another pass-rusher, and a taller CB to move outside when Newman goes into the slot, as well as that CB being the future #3, and I have us drafting a explosive WR and two very talented Oline prospects
but I think I'm going to change the 1st 3 picks anyways, since I think it would be better to keep Carp outside, I think he can be that other pass-rusher, and sign Donnie Edwards in FA
the reason I like us signing Anthony Wright is because he's a solid backup w/ starting experience, him or Rattay would be fine by me

I would not oppose that move at all, taking Ross in the 1st, he's a player and could immediately start out as the starting PR
