IMO this is going to be the most productive WR out of this draft.

UUmmm no! That will be Calvin Johnson. He is a literal freak of nature. I'm touting Sidney Rice for our selection but that is because I think he will be available. If CJ fell to us I would genuflect(splg?) for a full day.

Bottom line to me is how well they catch the ball. Just about everything else can be changed or improved, but if they do not have good hands not much can be done. Thats why I do not want McKnight, even though he is Irish. He dropped WAY TOO MANY balls, especially in the big games.

Zero chance of Johnson falling past five, let alone to Dallas.
I think Gonzales may have moved past Rice on some boards. Running a 4.4 and seemed to be much more polished than Rice from what I saw.
I also think Meachem and Bowe might have slipped past Jarrett as well.

Gonzo was a touted 4.3 Cornerback coming out of high school in Cleveland
Didnt surpise me at all that he ran close to what he was supposed to run..

I'd be ecstatic with Anthony Gonzalez in Round 2, but I don't think he will make it to our 2nd round pick.
I don't like him as much at #22.
But he will be a good one.

Looked to me that the kid Meachum from Tennessee had a great workout. They were all going on and on about it.

Yeah, Meachum seemed to grab the #3 WR handle.
Depending on Jarrett works out (I expect it to be poorly), I think the WR board will look like:
1. C. Johnson
2. T. Ginn
3. Meachum
4. Bowe/Jarrett
5. Bowe/Jarrett
6. S.Rice
7. A. Gonzales

Anyone here besides me excited about this Figures kid? He could be TG's replacement in a couple of years with good mentorship from TG himself. Full speed catches easily and a 40 in the 4.30 range is huge!

Productive was the key term in what I said. Sure I think Calvin Johnson is a freak of nature and will be a solid, if not great WR in the NFL.
With AG, he's going to be just what he was in college..not always flashing, not always making the great acrobatic catch, but just making the catch...making 1st downs.

Yeah, in round 2.
Can anyone explain to me why someone would be touting Sidney Rice? Yeah, he is 6'4". Outside of that, everything else about him is average. I don't see him being any difference between him and Maurice Stovall who was the #90 pick at the end of the third round last year beyond the fact that Rice played in a Spurrier offense.

I saw him play some games last year, and I always thought he was a terrific player. They had MAJOR QB problems @ SC, and I think that had he played at a school with a good QB he would have been a star. Could be wrong, but it wouldn't hurt my fellings to take him in the 2nd.
