rather have justin Blalock or Aaron Ross...no I am not being a homer but they will have more value and will feel a need. jarrett is too much of a risk to be a bust.

I'm a big Texas fan as well and I'm not sold on Ross at all.

I thought Jarvis Moss had an excellent run time. Why did he drop?

Dez Bryant, Receiver. A man who's season is over. Gentlemen, the Cowboy's staff can rebuild him. We have the technology. We have the capability to make the world's first super human receiver.
Dez Bryant will be that man. Better than he was before. Better.... Stronger..... Faster......

I happen to really like Mike Mayock on NFL network and he has been high on Houston for a while now, so he's been somewhat on peoples radar. After watching film of him during the combine and seeing how athletic he was, plus his measurables he put up...he is WAY up on radars now. This kid was very consistent all year and appears to be a top notch CB right there with Leon Hall.

If not for his hight at just under 5'10 he may be the top CB.

I was just curious if people spotted him because of his speed...

Deangelo Hall had a ton of speed at the combine but who would want him here?

I'm in no way knocking Houston, I kno zero about him, was just wondering if anyone has actually watched him and if Houston turned heads BEFORE his 40 time.

Like I said earlier, I am afraid that people over overhyping guys in the combine based a couple of "tests."

I am more interested in how he performed covering WRs in actual games.

Something in me tells me Jarvis Moss won't be a real impact player you would expect out of the first round. By impact player I mean someone who becomes a starter and remains one during the prime of his career.

If I'm not insulting you, I'm probably not aware that you exist.

Jerry Jones in the draft room is suicide on the football field. The line of scrimmage is EVERYTHING. Something Jerry doesn't understand.

Yeah, speed != football talent. (not equal)

I agree that it is easy to over-hype players based on the combine...I am falling into that category for Meachem right now...I will admit. OVerall I try to be very cautious of that...especially after wanting Bunkley last year so badly. Look like Tarzan play like Jane... I was convinced he was gonna be the best DT in years...

4.7 at 250 is not an excellent time

but Shaun Phillips ran a similar time and it hasn't seemed to hurt him much

Well it's certainly not terrible either! 4.6 is considered very fast for a 250lbs person, to see a 4.5 is incredible. This is why seeing that 240lbs 6'5 Calvin Johnson run a 2.35 is absolutely freakish.

Jarrett is a better WR than Meachem and Houston is not worth a first rounder. This would be an easy seleciton if he was on the board.

Sam Hurd and Miles Austin...nice stories, but no way are they in the same league as Jarrett. He'd be an absolute steal at 22.

I think Suggs ran a 4.8 or 4.9 the year he came out. Seems he turned out OK.

Houston will be a 1st round pick, mark it down, with how fast CBs are nowadays, you're gonna need to have a WR who can seperate, and I'm just not sure Jarrett has that ability, he seemed to get stifled when teams manned up on him

another good example, but someone said he thought he ran an excellent time, he didn't, a 4.53 40 at 250 is an excellent time
