Default Aaron ross

I really dont want to get jumped on for beating a dead horse but i really like aaron ross at number 22 and moving henry to safty. Henry has the experience enough to get the job done there better than anyone else we have and we will have another Thorpe award winner back there. I dont care that we have money tied up in our secondary. It is our weekness and if we fix it asap we can win now

Ross ran a little slow for a CB at the Combine. While I agree that 40 times are overrated, they are not overrated for corners who need good recovery speed. Ross will end up getting toasted alot just like Jammer. Running a 4.5 at a fast track does not make me very confident in his ability to cover someone like Moss or Smith.

the reason i think 40s are so overated is you dont know how they run in pads. some people run same time in pads and some run slower. plus they start in a sprinters stance and some guys just dont get out of that as well. unless you ran track. i dont trust 40s at all

IIRC, his broad jump was very poor, too. That's one of my favorite indicators of explosiveness.

for the first 9 games of the season, ross single handedly won 2 of the games. the lack of qb pressure finally wore the dbs down. ross will not be a bust.

don't know if i'd take him at 22...but in the 2nd round, he would be hard pressed to pass.

Aaron Ross reminds me of Derrick Johnson. Every UT fan thinks he might be the next big thing for defense in the league, only to fall short.

If we take a corner at 22, I think we go with Houston from Arkansas. This kid is a stud. He would be great playing alongside of T-New.

Hook, line & sinker.

The problem with DJ coming out was that he was soft and wouldn't be able to stand up to OL. Now it's because he doesn't have a DL in front of him.

On Talkin Cowboys, Mickey said that scouts(I assume he was talking about Cowboys' scouts) were worried about Houston being too "handsy" and might have trouble adjusting to the nfl rules.
