Why? You take the best player available even if it's a DB.
This includes RBs even though I'm anti-running back in the first round unless they are VERY special. Those are far and few and Lynch isn't one of them though I would jump all over Peterson.

If I'm not insulting you, I'm probably not aware that you exist.
Jerry Jones in the draft room is suicide on the football field. The line of scrimmage is EVERYTHING. Something Jerry doesn't understand.

i dont have a board or anything of the sort, but to me i would rather take a position that i feel is weaker or could become weaker at the end of next season while we are picking at 32 instead of 22

thats a great reson to take a cb. a. glenn will be gone after this season and henry is 30. time to get a guy ready to step in. i don't think we will be moving henry anywhere but it's time to get a good 3rd cb, and a guy who can step in for henry in a couple of years. even the 4th cb will see the field alot and the talent is there this year.i don't know of a position we need to get that will be there talent wise as much as cb, with the exception of wr and we have some young wr's who the team seems high on and if you take a guy in rnd 1 you would have to part company with hurd or austin. only so many spots to go around.

Chris Houston is the best college CB I have seen in a long time. He will give up some completions to bigger guys (a la Sidney Rice) but he is great in coverage and a solid tackler. Getting him opposition Newman and moving Henry to FS would be incredible imo. In another year maybe you can let Henry go and start Watkins but now you have more time to evaluate him. Houston could definitely start in the NFL as a rookie.

i don't know if houston will last till 22 but i really like him. i don't think we will be moving henry to safety but with glenn gone after this yr and henry 30 it's time to find some talent there because they cost so much as f.a
houston will have one problem in the pro's, he plays with his hands to much and will have to overcome that but should be able to. he can fly and he is super in press coverage which we will be running.
i just don't think his speed will allow him to drop till 22 but i would love it

Once again for the last time, the Cowboys didn't pay $10 million guaranteed money to Henry to move him to FS. Folks wake up....

I didn't give this guy much thought till i saw NFLN's Draft show tonight. They had the CBs on. Mike Mayock broke him down and the way Ark. plays D. They play man to man on an island D with their CBs and he was a stud!! Now correct me if i'm wrong, but Wade has said he isn't playing the cover 2. This guy could be perfect for us in a man to man scheme. I'm not a big proponent of a DB in the first and there has been talk the Cowboys think this kid is too "handsie"(is that a word?) but he is a great man to man cover guy. He also shut down Dwayne Jarrett, Robert Meachem and Dwayne Bowe to a combined 14 catches for 168 yards and 1 touchdown. Interesting guy if they do go DB.

All that is why I don't think he'll last until anywhere near our pick.

What are you talking about???Didn't Roy make make more than 10 million. With the new cap increase Henry's contract would be very similar to a top FS. Besides Henry is beginning to slow down and was beggining to get toasted. I'm not saying he is garbage, but he was always a step slow for a CB and now he is slowing down even more.

His biggest downside is his height. If he were 6'1" or taller he would be a top 10 pick.
This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

Dre Bly is 5'9 and without Houston's Speed...
If 5'9 is lunch meat , you should ask Romo why he didnt throw at T.O when Bly was man coverage on him in the endzone.
Bye Bradie.....
Jerry... Get a stud.
