Why for you trying to replace Marc Colombo? He's not our weakest link.

Colombo isnt a weak link at all...but he is old already....McNeil is a young, imposing figure....a mountain of a man.
I just like the idea of seeing Davis and McNeil on the same side, totally blocking out the sun with their big behinds.....is that a solar eclipse? NO it is the right side of the Dallas OL

As far as playing the game as a pro goes, Colombo is young. He also is 6-8, 320, so he's not exactly small.

OLD??
He's 28, was drafted 5 years ago, and didn't play for 3 years. It's not like he's got a lot of wear and tear on him.
Now is he older than Mcneill? Yes by 5 years, but I wouldn't say he's "old."

When I see McNeil.....I see a poor man's Erik Williams....that is why I brought this thread up.
BTW, i didnt list my reserves.......but Colombo would be a reserve...and Heck...the way Rivera was playing last year...Colombo might have saw time at RG next to McNeil....
I like having Colombo and Kosier on the team.

28 is not old for an o-lineman, 31 which is Adams' age is not old for an o-lineman.
O-lineman can be productive deep into their 30s.
Mark Tuinei was 32 a month after Dallas won their first Super Bowl of the 90s, Nate Newton was 30, later Ray Donaldson managed a pro bowl birth at the tender age of 38 and John Gesesk, Kevin Gogan and Derek Kennard all started for Dallas while in their mid-thirties.
Mark Stepnoski came back to Dallas for a second tour in his mid-30s and still was very good.
Larry Allen is still a good o-line man and he's 35, Jackie Slater played until 40, Ray Brown is 41 and was on a roster in 2005.
Tom Rafferty played until he was 38.
In reality Colombo is hitting his prime and not his decline.

Just a random thought, his wife was my world history teacher last year.
And about McNeill, I believe he was the one with back problems. If so, there's plenty reason not to take the chance.
I'd take Colombo any day over McNeill and his back problems.
I see you have Blalock at OG. I don't think he'll be a Cowboy next season either.
Thanks YoMick!

Dallas dropped the ball by not drafting McNeil, he's going to be very good for a long time, he could have been the eventual replacement for Flozell Adams.

Take Colombo's "knee" over McNeil's "back"? Colombo's knee is more of a ticking time-bomb than McNeil's back. Has McNeil's back EVER been operated on? I've never heard that; I've just heard/read about his potential back problems. Colombo's knee injury was devastating & has been well documented. It's a wonder he can walk, let alone play again. I'd choose the lesser of two evils - McNeil's back.....
2011 Cowboys modus operandi :
