Default North American Union

Why we will never see enforcement of the border and why we are headed towards a central government for Canada, America, and Mexico.

I won't give my opinions yet. Just read the sites and make your own mind up.

Wouldn't this be helpful in establishing an NAU? Theoretically of course.

Just wait until everyone hands their power over to the UN.

What a day that will be...

Why exactly would such a union be terrible?

Won't happen. The EU struggles to get ever country in the EU to hand over complete soverignty (see Britain maintaing its own currency, etc)....

No way everyone hands over power to the UN.

Small countries, of course, would benefit the most as they'd benefit from a much larger defense force, more resources, more outside labor, etc.... but the bigger countries, I'd expect, would prefer to maintain their soverignty.

Sovereignty and the right to govern ourselves is the reason so many have died for in this country, whats scary is people are forgetting what the true meaning of freedom is. Its not a catch phrase. Immigrants know what it is to not have it and appreciate it more.

K.

But let's say that a union like this would be fantastic for everyone. More resources, more land, more hot mexican women....

Don't you think those that died would be a fan of the US bettering itself? Setting aside petty and moronic nationalism for the greater good? I'm not sure, but I think they might.

I'm going to go ahead and suggest you try not responding to anyone's posts.

I mean, just because you're capable of responding and capitalizing random words doesn't mean it's a good idea. I think I was pretty clearly being hypothetical - hence the "what if" proposition.

www.dictionary.com - just in case you're wondering what "hypothetical" means.

Maybe you could give it to me a little harder - I love that sort of thing, burmy-baby.

Seriously - I was posing a hypothetical - hence the "if/then" language. There's nothing crazy about that.

lmao....yes, that's exactly what I want. I clearly articulated that. You're observations are astute as usual, burm.

And by astute, I mean that they are completely off-base and stupid.

Burm, why did you reply to what superpunk said?

I disagreed with superpunk. Then I offered reasons as to why.

You offered random comments that did nothing other than say "UN is garbage." What a great contribution that was.
