Default Could Donnie Avery be a Steve Smith type WR.

I know he's fast but I've not seen him much. He looks pretty strong to me.

Sounds pretty weak too me.

Donnie Avery
5-11 190 4.35

Strengths:
Excellent timed speed...Has a burst and can separate...Adequate height...Smooth athlete...Good ball skills and body control...A deep threat who will stretch the field vertically...Has soft hands...A hard worker with good intangibles...Productive...Has a lot of experience...Great special teamer who has returned both kicks and punts.

Weaknesses:
Does not have the ideal bulk that you look for...Is not a great route runner...Isn't very strong or physical...Struggles when jammed at the line...Won't do much after the catch...Doesn't work the middle of the field much...He is not much of a blocker.

Notes:
Played in a pass-happy system in college...Is somewhat one-dimensional...He is a long way away from being a polished and well-rounded receiver and will need to be developed but you just can't teach the type of pure speed he has...Will light it up in workouts but might never be more than a #3 or #4 option and a return guy.

Now, this guy is strong, and he's lighting up the Senior Bowl practices. Haven't seen him this year, so I can't give you my opinion.

Eddie Royal
5-10 181 4.40

Strengths:
A terrific athlete...Great timed speed and has a burst...Very strong and extremely tough...Elusive and is difficult to tackle...Runs well after the catch...Vertical threat who can stretch the field...Good vision and balance...Also an excellent return man.

Weaknesses:
Doesn't have ideal size or bulk...Has a ways to go as a route runner..Will struggle to beat the jam in the NFL...Trys hard but will never be a great blocker...Durability is an issue...Was not overly productive...Was never "the guy" in college...Upside?

Notes:
Similar to former Hokie David Clowney, who was selected in the fifth round a year ago...Reportedly bench presses 390-pounds...He's a threat to score every time he touches the ball...Needs to show that he can stay healthy...Could see action as a backup wideout but he'll likely earn his paycheck as a return specialist in the pros.

Eddie Royal appears to be earning himself some cash at the Senior Bowl.

Royal is the guy who was on NFLN last night burning Tribble, right?

It was just a few highlights, and in one-on-one drills to boot. But he did look kind of like Santana Moss with the speed he showed.

Jason Garrett offense rank minus Tony Sparano: 18, 14, 7, 15, 15

Eddie Royal made Tribble look like Allen Rossum. Actually, Tribble looked horrific from what I saw of him this morning. He got burned by every receiver.

And Adarius Bowman may have the worst hands in the entire class. The kid dropped like 10 balls.

like Duane Goodrich
But I still don't know what any team saw Thursday night that would have made them comfortable with waiting a round or two for the offensive lineman they wanted. ---Todd McShay
We just converted half our LB to DL. We have a 30m starting DL, it better be pretty friggin good.

I think Bowman and Tribble are clearly the "biggest losers" of the Senior Bowl right now.

Tribble is just a workout warrior

he's another Antonio Bryant, thinks he's better than he actually is

Tribble is not 100% coming off injury. Watch the game - he makes plays.

Eddie Royal is the real deal, good hands! Speed is a non issue because this guy can flat out fly! I wouldn't mind picking him up later on...

Would LOVE Eddie Royal! Ive seen a lot from him the last few years at Tech. Great speed and route running. Good return man and can make a move and burn you with YAC. The combine/proday will tell how high this mans stock goes.

Bowman dropped like 11 balls and fumbled one of the only ones he caught?! Confidence issues?? I cant imagine what his gauntlet drill would look like.
