I think it looks fine and see nothing that would take away from the game.

You really couldn't be more wrong and pretentious in the same post.

thats the same exact thing I thought about the new Yankee stadium, too much bare concrete

It's a totally different football experience than anything you've ever had, and if you're complaining, ever imagined. The difference is like the difference between going to a park and watching a game that doesn't have down markers or a scoreboard and trying to keep up with what's going on, vs going to a game at Texas Stadium, where they had electronic scoreboards, seats, an announcer, a big screen where you could see replays (albeit hard to make out sometimes), music, etc. The difference between the football you know now and the football experience at the new Cowboys Stadium is that huge. And you are the guy standing at the park, saying "damn, I think it's stupid to go play a game in a big concrete building when it's just fine here at the park. We dont' need all those blinking lights and music and all that stuff to watch a damn game, it's fine right here at the park."
This is probably the best description I've read. It's just a completely different experience and if you haven't been there to see it, you can't really comment on it.

The best part is watching play live on the field and then watching the 2 or 3 replays on the video board and actually being able to see it clearly, as if you're sitting at home in your living room.

The four split screen view replays are amazing. That was a nice touch.

YES! I wish they'd do that after every play.

~ Field level to board height drawn to proportion | Board length drawn to proportion | Field level pics flipped horizonally in relation to graph and video board pics ~

A: Trapasso kicks from the 25 yard line

B: Ball connects with Mitsubishi Electric sign at the 49-yard line

Outside view

Inside View

C: Line of scrimmage prior to punt was the 36-yard line

  • 24 yards - distance the ball traveled from Trapasso to the video board
  • 13 yards - distance the ball traveled beyond the line of scrimmage to the video board

Anyone else catch on espn earlier trey wingo i think it was slipped this in "the cowboys said they put it higher than the league required minimum above the field, which they pulled from a potentially expired nfl field manual." please now they are claiming the figure they had was old and no longer the rule....please. and all ive been hearing is "scoreboard CONTROVERSY" its dumb they want to make anything cowboys into a controversy.

I think its dumb that a great deal of Cowboys fans want to turn this situation into a "us vs. the world" scenario. Jerry screwed the pooch on this and people are crying foul because he's taking heat.

The league gave Jerry permission to screw the pooch, so shame on them.

He is right Hoof.

Don't blame this on Jerry. Blame this on the people who OK'd it.

I wasnt trying to make it an "us vs. the world" situation at all. I could honestly care less what they do with the stupid video screen its not my money and ill sadly never be able to see a game in that stadium anyways but still i think its dumb how espn and report stuff like this and called it reporting.
