Audio File Audio: Werder on GAC talking Wade

Werder on GAC
---------------------------

Hmmmm. Would Wade threaten Jerry? Is Wade getting an upper hand on Jerry here because of the 'success' this season with the playoff win?

I am not really sure why it would be a big deal if Wade gets an extension anyway. Jerry wants this team in the Super Bowl that will be played at Cowboys Stadium and if that doesn't happen I think Jerry is going in another direction no matter what it costs him.

Those numbers on Barber and Roy are deafening. These two guys need to move aside if they aren't the best available at those spots.

wade, to me, doesn't seem like the type of guy who would threaten jerry. that's just my opinion. wade seems to be a pretty laid-back guy.

Nothing Werder says is credible.

Reminding me of the Reeves situation where they agree verbally in principal and right before it's finalized something comes up in dotting the i's and crossing the t's of the contract. Wonder what issue Jerry is throwing at Wade for Wade to make a stand.

Despite labeling myself a "realist", no one understands my pain or appreciates my special truth. Stupid world.

Well that depends if Werder is even accurate. Which is dubious at times.

Werder absolutely does not like being teased. He comes across as an insufferable fool.

Exactamundo.

I just keep thinking how great Miles would really be if he ever got to play the #1 WR spot.

Werder is right, the real question is what is it going to take for the coaching staff to put the best players on the field not the guys they start training camp with.

Enough of penciling people in as starters, but the guys that give you the best chance to win out there each Sunday.

This, to me, is what is going to define our offseason. Do we act on performance, and what's best for the team in terms of winning more football games, or do we let investment dictate the action?

I love Barber, but he's not the same back he used to be. I'm not suggesting that it had anything to do with his big contract (I don't think he's that type of person), but his willingness to run with abandon and punish defenders has been sporadic at best since he got paid. That's what made him special. Defenders were terrified by him....now, the defenders are initiating contact without hesitation, and winning one on one battles with Barber with regularity.

Williams, well.....that's a whole different animal. We just made a terrible decision there. It's time to cut our losses. He just isn't as good as Longhorn and Cowboys fans want him to be.

He looks like a slim and trim Mike Holgrem in this pic.
