Morning Santiago, Zoniacs, early morning hooligans...

On this day in history....

1977 - "Hotel California" earned a gold record for the Eagles.(Bobster better be ok with this or I'm gonna have to twist his nose until it looks liek a cork screw)

1984 - South African prisoner Nelson Mandela saw his wife for the first time in 22 years (which reminds me of a Henny Yougman joke, "People ask me all the time, 'How is it that you and your wife are still married after all these years?' I tell them, 'It's simple. We go out to dinner six times a week. She goes out M/W/F, I go out T/Th/Sat"

RIP Santiago

I can see where they checked out ---just can't remember them leaving----One of the greatest bands of all times --far better then the 4 that are not mentioned

Well howdy doooooo.....we finally agree about something musical.

That was one VERY underrated band.

They could sing like birds...harmonies that were just extraordinary.

And when Felder and Joe Walsh joined up, they could rock with any band as well.

I don't know of any band that has that combination. And I'd have no problem calling them the best vocal band ever.
RIP Santiago

Good morning, Cbz and good morning all. The Eagles were and still are an iconic act. Great talent. So was the Fab Four . Different eras, both great talents. Lots of fine music acts out there. We all have our favourites. The Eagles were a big part of my life in the 70's. Happy memories of thtime when was dating my future wife. Have a good day, guys.

Morning Santiago, Zoniacs, early morning hooligans..

On this day in history- Birthdays: Harvey Keitel 1939; Richie Valens 1941; Stevie Wonder (Steveland Morris) 1950;

1873 - Ludwig M. Wolf patented the sewing machine lamp holder (I'm guessing you can't find one of these on ebay)
1967 - Mickey Mantle hit his 500th homerun.
1955 - Elvis Presley's performance in FL, became the first Elvis show where a riot ensued
1970 - The Beatles film "Let it Be" premiered in NY (oooops Bobster)
RIP Santiago

You did that on purpose and I 'm going to tell on you....At least you got Richie and Elvis in there before the bugs..Ruined my day

Morning Cbz -Morning Sarge -Yeag-Juke and everyone else out there...Just to let you know Juke made a solemn pledge to keep the bugs out of here and he broke that promise--I knew a northern picker would be up to no good..
