Okay the title is purely a joke, but if Fiammetta gets injured again I am going to really start becoming a FB pimp. It is clear to me we are a far better team with that guy.

To all who for years have told me the FB position is dead I say,

Okay, in the first round if we can trade up for David DeCastro I am absolutely going to do it if I am Jason Garrett. If you think Fiammetta makes a difference, plug that cat in next to Tyron Smith on either side and watch the wins tick off. Interior OL is vital to me this year.

In this mock though I am standing pat to take him. I will adjust that as it becomes apparent we will have to. For right now he is rated around 17th by a couple of Draft publications, and that is where we pick as of right now.

1st round...David DeCastro, OG, Stanford, 6'5", 315. IMO the missing piece of a Championship, dominant Offense. On a pull or a sweep he is the most dominant OG I have seen since Larry Allen. He just blows people up.

2nd round...Stephon Gilmore, CB, South Carolina, 6'1", 193. Gotta fix the secondary. I think he plays more like a FS than a CB because he covers ground like a center fielder. He knows how to come to the football. A semi-prediction for our 2nd round pick if we keep it...don't be shocked if we go for Nick Foles of Arizona. He has been scouted by Dallas quite a bit and has risen on draft boards.

3rd round...Brandon Boykin, CB, Georgia, 5"10", 183. This pick has a threefold purpose. One, it allows Gilmore to possibly be groomed as a FS. Two, it gives us more DB depth. Three, and perhaps most important of all for me, this kid is a top return specialist. I feel we need that big time. I do not like our Kick Returns in particular.

4th round...Michael Brewster, C, Ohio State, 6'4", 305. Did I say interior OL needed help? If not, it does. If I did, it does. Our OGs are all either aging or unproven. Our Center, may or may not turn out to be our long term guy. I have no loyalty. if we can improve, do it. This kid is a potential starter making him a good value.

5th round...Matt Reynolds, OT, BYU, 6'4", 305. We need OT depth. Reynolds is a RT at the NFL Level. Moving Parnell to LT. Solid, hard worker.

6th round...Rhett Ellison, TE, USC, 6'5", 250. I definitely think we will draft a TE. Blame it on Phillips or Bennett, or whatever reason, but it is a good prospect who is hard to pass up at this spot.

6th round Comp pick...Juron Criner, WR, Arizona, 6'4", 215. I continue to be amazed at how low he is ranked. All he does is come to play every game. Someone will steal this kid.

7th round...Case Keenum, QB, Houston, 6'1", 210. "He's too small to play at this level." He's smart enough to help a team. Don't sleep on this kid as a late round player to develop.

I absolutey love this draft and it is the best one I have seen. This is an A++ draft and would love for it to happen. I love DeCastro and some how hope he comes out and we get him. There are some people who I do not think will drop to us in your prediction such as Brewster (steal of the draft if falls to the mid-4th rd) and Gilmore. If does turn out this way I would be estatic beyond belief.

Any mock that nets DeCastro is off to a good start. I think Gilmore may end up a safety at the next level.

Hos, I always have major reservations about projecting a CB to Safety. Safety is an instinctive position whereas CB is an athletic position. Just because a CB seems to have skills to play Safety (namely good tackler) doesn't mean that it will work out.

Thus this guy is a project with athleticism and shouldn't be touched before the fourth round, IMO.

If he is good enough to play and start at CB in the NFL then you can consider the guy in the second, IMO again.

Hos, I cant remember what site I was looking at, but Criner was all the way up to a 2nd or 3rd round prospect.

I dont like Reynolds. I would prefer to get a LT in the draft, as he would be more versatile....it is easier to move from L to R than from R to L.

There are a few small school athletic OT prospects out there. One of them is Jeff Adams from Columbia. He is the guy I am looking at with our 7th. Intelligence and Athleticism is a very nice combo....It would be nice to for the players protecting Tony to have some cognitive ability for once.

Love the mock except for the case pick I've watched a lot of case and I'm not that impressed I would rather take a flyer on Aaron Corp or G.J. Kinne.

According to a source, doctors believe Fiammetta suffered from an inner-ear infection.

An infection and inflammation that occurs in the inner ear causes hearing and balance problems. A person can also feel nauseous and get dizzy. Medicine for vertigo can provide relief for an inner-ear infection.

Once Fiammetta's symptoms subsided he was allowed to ride a stationary bike and on Wednesday had his first official contact during special team and offensive drills.

Boykin is a player who could be a second-day pick next April. He has had a mixed season and right now, looks like a third or fourth-round pick. Boykin got lucky in the first quarter with Jefferson missing what could have been a big play downfield. A little bit later, Boykin had a nice pass breakup for an incompletion. In the third quarter, he whiffed on a tackle a few yards past the line of scrimmage. Boykin seemed afraid of getting run over as he tried to grab the running back's jersey rather than going in hard for a tackle. The back powered his way into the end zone.

On the next possession, Boykin got beat on a quick out for a short touchdown catch, but the play was reviewed and overturned into an incompletion as the ball scraped against the ground. Later in the third quarter, he got run over trying to tackle a running back out of the backfield. The back went through him and cruised into the end zone for a score. Boykin had a quality tackle later in the game, but his run support overall was poor

I think most folks want Boykins as a returner, and then as a 4th or 5th cb.

I believe that report is on Boykin, but it is mistitled. It mentions the QB as Jefferson, and neither WV or USF have a Jefferson but LSU does and they just played in the SEC championship game.
