I was 8. Me and my dad was watching that game in our living room. Still live in the same house. Although Dad has went to the after life he is still watching the Cowboys from above. Now me and my kids enjoy watching the Cowboys play. My oldest has asked who was the better team. My answer will always be from my era. Today's Cowboys play for the money. Yesteryears Cowboys played with heart and were better coached.

Rick Danmeier was the Vikings placekicker that night, so it would have been a neat trick for him to take a Danny White pass back for a score.

Rick Danmeier (born April 8, 1952 in St. Paul, Minnesota) is a former professional American football player who was a placekicker for six seasons for the Minnesota Vikings in the National Football League.
Danmeier attended White Bear Lake High School, in a suburb of St. Paul, Minnesota. He later attended Lakewood State Junior College, and then the University of Sioux Falls, where he played college football. [1]
Danmeier joined the Vikings in 1977, appearing in one game. His best season was 1981, when he missed only two field goals from inside the 40, and converted on 21 of 25 field goal attempts. He appeared in nine games for the Vikings in 1982, his last season with the team. [2]
Danmeier was one of the last kickers to employ the straight-on style of kicking.

I've posted this before about this game, but I know exactly where I was.
I had made a date with a girl that wanted to give me a little sometin, sometin.
I had forgotten she was coming over at that time, and was watching this game with some friends.
I saw her walking to my Apt., but wanted to watch the Cowboys, too!
She knocked at my door as we all watched. My friends said someones at your door. She left...
And I watched that game where Dorsett ran that ball for that TD.

I remember that play well. Even remember the dialogue from the crew. Something about can't score anytime they want to. Or maybe they can. Mostly I remember that we lost.
Dez Bryant, Receiver. A man who's season is over. Gentlemen, the Cowboy's staff can rebuild him. We have the technology. We have the capability to make the world's first super human receiver.
Dez Bryant will be that man. Better than he was before. Better.... Stronger..... Faster......
