Hmm. A guy named Drew Brees. Besides, Russell Wilson played this year behind Wisconsin's NFL-sized offensive line. Why couldn't he do it at this level? I understand the game is a step faster, but if he could see over those guys in college, why couldn't he see over them in the NFL?

I dont know what Brees is listed at but he was being interviewed by Aikman about a week or so ago before their game. Looked like Aikman standing next to a Pop Warner player or interviewing his son and I'm a Brees fan.

He's listed at 6'0", but he's not even that tall. He's 5'10-5'11.

This is a BS excuse for a high-tier BCS team that just got WHACKED by a mid-major (Conf-USA) team that just plain had more talent.

As far as Keenum 'chunkin it downfeild (sic)', being as he is the Division I all-time leader in TD passes, there is plenty of visual evidence that he does just a little more than 'chunkin' it'.

I would submit that Keenum tends to have a good amount of spin on his deep ball and will gladly wager you that, for every instance of a 'wounded duck' Keenum pass of over 20 yards that YOU can provide - I can provide a 20-plus-yard 'tight spiral' visual example to the contrary. Hopwzabout a-buck-a-pop as the stakes?

Eager to see how this kid practices during the senior bowl and what opinion the coaches have about him.

Seems many of the UH QB put up big numbers. I like Keenum and if Dallas took a flyer on him late in the draft I would not be upset but I admit I'm leery of the QB's that have came out of that program because it seems to be more about the system they play in as opposed to overall talent

Just curious: has the coaching regime that Keenum played under had any NFL QB prospects before him?
Was Kolb one their guys?

I didn't get to see a whole lot of Russell Wilson this year but as a backup I could care less how tall he is.

For me I want a backup QB who is mobile and use that to their ability when they have to come in cold off the bench.

That's why I like McGee as the backup right now because he makes progress every year as a passer and he can run.

If we're looking for a starter then yes let's find someone more prototypical.

Yes Kolb was part of that program under Briles.

never mind. I looked it up.

Kolb played under Art Briles....same HC that RG3 has.

Keenum played under Kevin Sumlin--who was out of Oklahoma. That makes sense, as Houston's offense does resemble Oklahoma's, but they didn't have an A Peterson or DeMarco Murray.

I could see why some would be wary: as good as the OU QBs have been over the years at the college level (Heisman's, etc), Sam Bradford is the only one to pan out at the next level.

I do think Keenum will make someone's team next year.

I'm sure Keenum will get drafted and make someone team. Beyond that I have questions about his overall skills as a QB. Sumlin really did not come in and change much of what Briles did and had put in place.
