More to the point, Jerry said one of the differences is that they don't necessarily have the "thumper" at one of the spots as the 49ers do. That "thumper" could come in the form of 6'4" 260 lb Dont'a Hightower.

2) Taking point #1 into consideration, I could see Dallas giving Bruce Carter a sort of Kevin Burnett'esque hybrid nickel/dime'backer/spy/do-it-all kind of linebacker. While Lee and Hightower could be the starters.

You make 3 very convincing points and I'm a noted fan of Hightower so I would have no problems at all with that pick.

Actually, close to Realticks prediction I could see us trading up for Vontaze Burfict if he is still around early in the 2nd round.

He has some issues, but, he is a talented football player.

That would top everything I have seen posted.

picking Janoris Jenkins over decastro at 14. which i dont mind both fill major needs and imo cb is more important and harder to fill. plus jenkins' TALENT is a steal at 14.

Wouldn't surprise me if we draft a receiver although it would infuriate me.

yeah but that changes if Robinson get way overpayed by someone and leaves.

Then wr should be looked at between 3-5 rounds imo harris is not the answer.

Chris Owusu, WR, Stanford
Height: 6-2. Weight: 201.
Projected 40 Time: 4.46
Projected Round (2012): 5-6.

Marvin Jones, WR, California
Height: 6-2. Weight: 198.
Projected 40 Time: 4.49
Arm: 32 7/8. Hand: 10
Projected Round (2012): 5-7

I'd even take a flyer on

Greg Childs, WR, Arkansas
Height: 6-3. Weight: 217.
Projected 40 Time: 4.54
Projected Round (2012): 5-6

possibles

Robert Turbin, RB, Utah State
Height: 5-9. Weight: 216.
Projected 40 Time: 4.62.
Projected Round (2012): 4-6.

In 2011, Turbin averaged 6.1 yards per carry with 1,517 yards rushing and 19 touchdowns. He caught 17 passes for 171 yards and four scores as well. In 2009, Turbin broke out with 1,296 yards and 13 touchdowns. He missed the 2010 season because of an injury. Turbin is put together well and is an elusive runner.

Chris Rainey, WR/RB/KR/PR, Florida
Height: 5-8. Weight: 178
Projected 40 Time: 4.33.
Arm: 30 3/4. Hand: 9 1/2

I just don't think he'll last til the 3rd round. If the rumors about us considering Dalton in the 2nd last year were accurate, I wouldn't be shocked if we made a pick like this.
I think the freakishness of his size is what's getting him a lot of hype right now. How is he, as a prospect, compared to Foles and B.J. Coleman?
We need wins, and that's all we need. I don't give a damn about anyone on this roster over wins. I'd trade Ware, Lee and Dez if it meant more wins.

Freudian slip? DeCosta must be the love child of Phil Costa and David DeCastro; an immensly talented offensive lineman that's hindered by T-Rex arms.

Poor kid.

Nothing so complicated I'm afraid. Sometimes a Cigar is just a Cigar. In this case, just a mistake. I meant DeCastro but thank you for pointing out my error.

Passing on DeCastro and Glenn and taking Amini Silatolu in the 3rd.
