The only crazy thing about that is the Eagles wanting DeCastro when they have a high priced guard and a 1st rounder from last year.

At 17 I'd consider Blackmon. He is a very good player at 17 and would abuse any 3rd corner in football. That would be a Romo friendly offense. It would be better than the Packers top 4 pass catchers.

Aside from Blackmon is there anyone else not on our board who is sliding? Just trying to project who might come off the board in the next 3 picks if we traded. I'm also wondering if the Bengals an Bears would be looking to trade with Philly and Seattle if we dropped to 17.

I'm guessing the Browns are after Blackmon, Brockers fills a need and seems like a typical Philly 1st round pick to me, Seahawks are a bit of a wild card to me, neither guard nor wr are pressing needs for them but I can see them taking Castro, Glenn, or Blackmon. As disappointing as Golden Tate been and with Moffitt and McQuistan at guards already I'd lean toward Blackmon with them. This trade gets even better if there is someone still available not on this list who Seattle might go after like Mercilus or Kuechly. Also Guessing the Bengals are looking at Kirkpatrick or Gilmore and have no Idea what Chicago might be after.

I'd say worst case scenario is we're looking at Kirkpatrick/Gilmore or Glen at 17 and Pick up another second. In this scenario I'd probably take Gilmore(I think he's a better fit in Ryan's system) and try and package #53 and our third to get back up to the top of the second and take Konz, Zeitler, or Silatolu.

Best Case scenario DeCastro at 17 and 2 picks in the middle of the second. Either way I think I'm doing the happy dance.

Yeah there's no way the eagles are looking at DeCastro. They just paid Mathis and Watkins was just taken in the 1st last year. Baring injury those will be their 2 starters next year.

I'd take the Bengals trade, too.

Then, I'd choose between:

Brockers
Gilmore
Kirkpatrick

With that extra 2nd round pick, I'm calling N.E. at 27, and I'm going after Peter Konz. I'd gladly flip two second rounders to get a plug and play, starting center. I think bagging two first rounders is better than drafting two second rounders and one first rounder.

I thought so as well, even discussed it with the Eagles GM who is well connected and he made a very supportive argument. If you look at the Eagles draft history and roster moves they have never been afraid to pull the trigger on the drafts best prospect at a given position. It's one of the reasons they are very particular with their own FA's. They are always reloading and Andy loves taking Offensive Lineman.

Didn't they just reload last year though by signing Mathis and drafting Watkins. It's not like those 2 are old and have been in Philly forever. I dont have any sources, but I'm pretty confident the Eagles aren't dumb enough to take another OG in the 1st.

Mathis will be 31.

He, Zietler and Glenn were also invited for a visit so its obvious they are looking

I'm also pretty surprised by this, at least in round 1. When you look at Philly's needs a big tackle who can stop the run seem like it would be number 1, and when you take into account their starters Patterson and Jenkins both are over 30, Philly's history with players over 30, and the fact that Brockers is still on the board it seems like a no brainer.

Still and Worthy arguably carry 1st round grades but would be a reach here. You could make an argument for Safety but with Barron off the board that's out and lastly you could argue weakside LB but again at 15 that would be a reach. I guess if any team has put themselves in position to go 100% BPA in round 1 it would be the Eagles but unless they really don't like Brockers I have troubles seeing it.

Bengals trade 100%.

The Eagles fake GM is plain wrong. Eagles need some LB's, can use a safety and would love another pressure player along the DL.
They'd also probably love a WR if an elite one fell that far.

But it doesn't matter. Value is astonishingly good in that trade so I'd take it and hope for Brockers to last til 19. If not... Upshaw, Mercilus, Glenn, Gilmore and others become very inviting.

The Bengals are basically offering the value of the 10th pick. I can see it if a consensus top 10 guy at a premium position was on board. Nobody would do it for DeCastro, but if you have a guy rated as your 5th or 6th best player and you only give up #10 value then the chart I can see it.

For Hostile, it would be like getting 1000 points of value.
