Default NFL:Cowboys, Eagles might both covet DT Michael Brockers

The Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles don't meet for the first time until Nov. 11, but a showdown at Radio City Music Hall is already brewing between the two rivals.

NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora reported Thursday that both the Cowboys and Eagles could be eyeing LSU defensive tackle Michael Brockers in the first round. Dallas (picking 14th) and Philadelphia (one pick later) are both very high on Brockers and both have needs along their interior line.

La Canfora calls the potential NFC East showdown an "interesting flashpoint" of the draft. We reached out to him for more of his thoughts.

This. I usually like La Canfora, and put value on his info. But he, Schefter, and any number of others are allowing themselves to be used like a condom on prom night leading up to the draft.

Brockers was in for a visit, and it's obvious the Cowboys have some interest. But that doesn't mean it's at #14, or that they don't like others better. I think he may be one of the players who was brought in to see how they like them IF they trade back.

I hope the Eagles take Broackers or Poe. I would love that. The Eagles history shows they blow 1st round picks

How great would it be if the eagles traded in front of us to take Brockers? I'd love to see them waste some draft ammo and money to take him.
