With this offense Bryz doesn't have to be great.

dont get ahead of yourselves.....I am sure the next team you face will play much better defense than the Pens played in this series...The goaltending should be better....and the ST play should be better.
I doubt the Flyers will find their scoring to be as easy the rest of the playoffs.....I have no idea what happened to the Pens awesome penalty killing unit, but it disappeared......
Of course, any penalty killing unit is going to have their hands full with the fire power the Flyers can put on the ice....
BTW, I can handle most of the Flyers beating us down......even Talbot, but it kills me to see Jagr doing so much to help destroy our season.....I was such a huge fan of his for a very long time....but now I loath him, so because of him, this series loss really irks me.

Oh no question.
The Flyers aren't going to have the ez-pickens when it comes to other teams and the powerplay.
But likewise I don't see any other teams with the offensive power of the Pens out there either.

I still would favor the Bruins and especially the Rangers in a series. They're just a bad matchup.
Then again, I favored the Penguins in this series.

We'll settle this with a good dust up.

The Bruins saved their season today in a 4-3 win in overtime.

That has always been the achilles heel of some pretty good Flyers teams. They should make a play for Tim Thomas for a run next year and do whatever it takes to get their tender for the next ten years.

This is what the Bruins have been all year, and even last year. Long periods with little offense followed by scoring outbursts. Games won by Thomas and team defense.
The Caps were probably the worst matchup for the Bruins and they are playing the perfect system against them in this series. If the Bruins had any offense from the top six this series would have been over. The bottom six is the only reason this series is not over.
After watching their run last year and the season this year it seems like forcing a game 7 is getting the Caps right where they want them. Always have to do it the hard way.
It's killing me!

It was a tough series. Fly guys finally had some D showing. Anxious to see who they play next.

No matter what, the Flyers are not going to have to play the Rangers in the next round.

Yeah, that's how it's shaken out.
I've learned over the years to be careful what you wish for. You sit there hoping to avoid the Rangers and Bruins and it's the Panthers or Capitals who end up knocking you off.
The Flyers just need to maintain that edge they had the last series, and in particular the last two games of the series when they really cleaned things up defensively.
If they do that, they have a shot to be in the finals.
It's all gravy to me, Mike. This team isn't supposed to be a serious contender this year with so many rookies and transitioning from the Richards/Carter era. This season is already a tremendous success. Of course I want more, but I can't complain no matter what happens from here. The future is bright.

I agree.
You never know.
Looks like the Flyers are going to be getting some defensive help back too, which will be a big help.

When they do win another Cup it'll probably come in a year like this where it's unexpected.

Flyers looked rusty, but came on and got the win.
Nice being up 1-0.
