Trivia: Cal Lutheran at Thousand Oaks hosted more Cowboy training camps than any other location; when was the last year the Cowboys trained at CLC?
I believe it was 1989. I wish we go back there or at least Austin. Those two cities seem to be good luck for us.

Jul 13 - Training Camp: Cowboys open 3rd training camp at Northern Michigan U. in Marquette, MI (1962); Retirements: Tony Liscio (1972), Guy Brown (1983); Traded: Ralph Coleman to Oilers (1973); Signed: Kelvin Martin (1987), Ken Norton (1988); Birthdays: Jason Hatcher (DE: 2006-11, b. 1982)

Trivia: Liscio originally retired in 1970 but returned in 1971 to anchor the OL, helping the Cowboys win their first Super Bowl; what event or events brought Liscio out of retirement?

Injuries! Ralph Neely fractured his leg in a motorcycle accident and Don Talbert broke his foot. Tom called Liscio and he returned to win a ring. I'd say he made a good decision. That's been 40 years ago already?

This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

Jul 14 - Acquired: Ron Sellers from the Pats (1972); Re-signed: Bill Bates, Dale Hellestrae (1994); Traded: Pete Hunter to Jets (2005); Signed: Sean Lissemore, Sam Young (2010); Birthdays: Ken Hutcherson (LB: 1974, b. 1952), Danny Noonan (DT: 1987-92, b. 1965), Bedford Wynne (b. 1923)

Trivia: Although he was selected in 1987 with the 12th overall pick, Noonan was a disappointment in Dallas; where did he finish his NFL career?

Correct!

The 40th anniversary of the Cowboys' first world championship was January 17, 2012. I'm not surprised you missed it because Jerry completely ignored it. Jaime Aron wrote "Breakthrough Boys" to commemorate the occasion, and he (or maybe his publisher) held the only reunion that I'm aware of.

Jimmy Jump-up is correct; Jimmy said he was driving an old Ford when he met Jerry in his Cadillac.

1. 6-41
2. Leon Lett's special team blunder on Thanksgiving day.

I was so pissed I knew I would never forget that day.
