Very well said!
Not only very well said, but spot on accurate!
One of the many differences between The Man in Black and lil whiny Jeffrey is that Sr would handle everything on the track. If somebody wanted to block or slow him down he would bump em, sure. Jeffrey just whines on his radio. If you've ever been to a race and listened to him on the scanner he sounds like a baby. Jeffrey thinks everyone should just get out of his way and let him go by. His sense of entitlement is sickening to say the least. He's a bigger whiner than Davey Allison or Rusty ever were.

He's not done winning races.

lol Jr's your teammate too. I would of thought for sure you'd give Jr. some love now.

Do you know when the modern era of NASCAR began? It is considered to have begun in 1972.
Care to guess what driver has the most wins in the modern era?
Yes, it's #24.
If Gordon isn't one of the best, who is the top 10 best drivers of all time in your opinion? I'd be curious to see that.

If number of wins is the criteria, then 24 would be in the top 10.

I'm not interested in the top ten based on wins. You already downplayed Godons' wins.......I am asking who do YOU personally rate as the top ten best drivers of all time, as you have previously said Gordon wasn't one of the best. I am interested to see you you rate as better than him.

Why, what difference does it make?
We have a different opinion.
My mind wont change and Im sure yours wont either.
In all honesty I think Sr was the best and I dont really care about the rest.

You might as well do this when trying to argue with a Sr fan. He's all that matters to them. It makes me wonder why they still watch.

Afraid to answer the question? What's you're top 10? Why not answer it?

There's nothing to argue.
The sky is blue.
Grass is green.
Sr was the best.
Why do Sr fans still watch? Prob because they hope to see somebody as good as him someday, but it hasnt happened yet.
Face it, the only reason Jeffie has any fans is because all those who didnt want to root for Sr needed to find somebody, anybody to root for. Its just a jealousy thing - nothing more.

That's what I thought. The fact of the matter is both #3 and #24 are considered in large part to be 2 of the best drivers to have ever driven in NASCAR.
I really can't stand either driver, but I'd like to think I deal with reality instead of bias and give credit where credit is due, unlike you.

COMPLETE AND TOTAL BS
Yes I didn't care for Sr but that doesn't mean I don't think he was a great driver. I root for Jeff because he is a great driver. He became one of my favorites when he won his first Winston Cup race. It was one of the twin 125's but it was still his first race with the big boys. No jealousy involved period point blank.
IMO the greatest NASCAR driver is and will always be The King no one else comes close....again IMO and that's all that matters to me.

Well, pat yourself on the back then, and do it multiple times.
That is what you're looking for right?

I have never understood the need to find merit in one's own opinions based on interaction on an internet forum. You have an opinion as do others. Your opinion might be shared by numerous others as well. So are others opinions in many cases.
Your opinion on Gordon will in no way alter my opinion on him. And while numerous others may share your opinion, I know for a fact that thousands share my opinion about him. Does it make either opinion any more valid? No.
I actually rooted for Gordon when he first came up. The reason I quit rooting for him was not becasue of his driving, but becasue of his whiny lil attitude. He's a spoiled lil punk. He feels entitled to success. I had his first diecast. I actually got the decals for his Busch series Baby Ruth car and did the Thunderbird #1 Baby Ruth car as well. So, for me I started out in his corner. But, since I dont like his attitude I dont like him.
Is he a good driver? Sure.
Great? Not in my mind. I think he had top notch equipment and had a great run. Put him in equal equipment with other guys and level the playing field - I dont think he shines so much. Just take the IROC cars for instance. Watch them at Daytona and he never stood out. Sr in the IROC cars did. Just an example.
So you feel good about yourself and your opinions and be happy, and I will do the same.
