Like I said, I would love to be wrong.

At some point they are going to have to start beating the Angels not only to stay in first but to show themselves and the Angels they can beat them.
Go ahead make my season!

This funk is getting a little ridiculous. Take out about a week and a half in late june and you basically have a two month long slump where the hitting has been non existent and the pitching as erratic as possible.

They have less fight than a box full of kittens at this point.

Its getting close. I realize there are two months left in the season, but if they continue to play the next two months like the last two months, they will finish .500 maybe.

We all have seen what this team is capable of, April and early May. Wash needs to figure out how to motivate this team back to that point. Beer, pot and hookers? Or some Llamas on the field at batting practice.

Damn the Angels are scary. The team to beat right now...Trout's emergence saved their season when things weren't looking good for them early on

Yorvit Torrealba is done here.

Quote:
Rockies beat writer Troy Renck tweeted that a source has informed him that Yorvit Torrealba has been designated for assignment.
This is on the heels of the news that the Rangers have acquired catcher Geovany Soto (and cash) from the Chicago Cubs in exchange for AA righthanded pitcher Jacob Brigham.

I like Yorvit but that isn't a bad deal. If Soto can play like he's capable of it an definitely be beneficial to us. Maybe moving him to a competitor will spark him.

So Soto was the NL rookie of the year in 2008? Maybe a change of scenery will spark him to do well again.

Now onto pitching; Oswalt, I think we bought stale cheese here. I think we have three pitchers that I am ok with trotting out there and dont feel like the game is lost already; Darvish, Holland and Harrison.

What do we do with the other two spots? Cliff Lee in a trade for one? Feliz/Feldman in the last spot? If Feliz is ever able to return this year maybe he will settle down and is Feldman's recent success a huge smoke screen?

Sorry rambling out loud.

At least Hambone is back though. Had an awesome night, 3-3. With Weaver pitching for the Angels....I don't see Holland holding off the bats.

The Angels are the better team and have been for quite some time now.

The Rangers are one of the more frustrating teams to watch. Just a bunch of guys that seem very unfocused and are a huge shell of the enthusiastic team they've been the last few years.

Glad football season is back.

I found this hilarious. An A's AA player just tweeted this.

Jeremy Barfield ‏@Baseclogger
Dear @Rangers, Please trade @JURICKSONPROFAR & @molt2222 so we can have a chance of beating @RidersBaseball tonight. Sincerely, @Baseclogger
