He burned us for a ton of yards and TDs in the two previous games that we played against you guys. Last night he barely eclipsed 200. Again, the drops contributed to that but, Eli saw a different secondary than he saw last year and he would be the first to admit it.
No question. Let me rephrase. The Dallas secondary played much better than the previous one. They still did not look like world-beaters. The Giants last year played and beat better secondaries than what we saw last night. That said , I'm sure they will get better with time. As will Eli & Co. BTW I started a new thread with this stuff.

1. Giants played like crap all night, never looked in synch.
2. Dallas played very well in most aspects of the game, and beat us soundly.
3. Refs were horrid, (that play when Cruz was mauled in the end zone comes to mind) but no excuses, Dallas had their share of crazy calls as well.
4. One thing about Dallas, the secondary did not look so great. If Giants receivers held on to catchable balls, the game might've looked different. That said, our third string corners look atrocious.
5. DeMarco Murray looks like the real deal.

Congrats.
Dude... you guys had bragging rights for last year, but...

Even this morning Amani Toomer said the Dallas cornerbacks were the difference makers in the game. Said Carr absolutely blanketed his guys and Claiborne was very good. Mentioned the drops, but also mentioned the when you've been harassed the whole game it's hard to concentrate sometimes...

Big difference from last year.... in fact, the Dallas cornerback play is a big reason they won last night and couldn't last year.

Good luck to you guys this year...

I think the Hixon catch kinda makes up for the 4 drops honestly. That ball gets caught 1 out of 10 times, if you're lucky. And it directly lead to a TD, which is something that none of the other 4 drops were certain to do.

And to think starting next game we will have Jenkins back, who if his mind is right will only make the secondary better.

Great point...

So, the question is... Is Risen Star willing to concede that, for one game anyway, Cornerbacks are important?
