That's a good guess but Gifford didn't become part of the MNF Trifecta until the 1971 season. The original play-by-play guy was Keith Jackson, who lasted only one season.

My Sep 21 question about Wright is not correct -- the answer I was looking for was he was the only OL in the ROH but of course since Larry Allen was added in 2011 that's no longer true. Sorry about that.
