Seems enough for him to injure himself though.
If they did not want him doing squats then he would not be doing them is what I am saying. If he went freelance and hurt himself outside of the rehab program I would think that was a story.

I can just think of other possibilities rather than him being a snatch patch as to what his issue is. Maybe he is physically unable to hang. Maybe he's mentally weak. Maybe he doesn't know how to train. Maybe it was just an accident. Maybe he was working too hard. Maybe he wasn't keeping up in his rehab and then pushed to hard. Maybe it's something i don't know about because I am not there or privy to what is going on in his training.

All fair questions, my comments were more directed toward squats being the exercise of choice for rehabbing hanstrings.

It's perfectly reasonable to do squats for your hamstrings...

I do squats when I can no longer stand up, but not for long. Squats lead to laying down.

Very reasonable, glad to at least hear more about the injury. Doesn't sound like a big deal really, I've done it myself. A couple of weeks, as JG said, and he should be fine.

Hope to see him on the field soon.

I believe it's about balance. Similar to working abs to help with back issues. Strong quads can do the same with hamstrings.

We'll settle this with a good dust up.

OK, but my personal experience has shown the opposite to be true.

A lot of people may not realize it, but the hamstrings are the prime movers along with the glutes in the squat. Especially a powerlifting style squat.

Squats usually begin toward the end of rehabilitation for a hamstring injury, shortly before running can resume.

Not that big of a deal. I'm glad we waited before throwing Carter out there.
