I really want to see what this team can do if it gets decent blocking. It's not a knock on the GM, HC, coaches or players.

They need consistency.

On the stretch zone run or "Boss" play that Broaddus calls it every single person on the LOS executed the blocking in the TB game that lead to Murray's rushing TD.

They are capable blockers but don't they lack the consistency from play to play, drive to drive.

I would like to see them practice during the bye week instead of taking the week off. It will go a long way helping them establish some continuity.

Often times you see that in the fourth quarter. A lot of time the team on the other side feels it. We pride ourselves on being a physical football team. It's important to us. It's an important time of the year to lay that foundation." - Coach Garrett

This offensive line has to be the worst i have seen in years for the Cowboys. Dallas has no chance this season unless something improves. Thanksfully Jerry is opening a Victoria Secrets store inside the stadium.

The changes of the tackles is about where I expected them to be. Smith is learning and Free is still trying to figure out his feet. He's got technique issues that are screwing him up and I think alot of us are guilty of believing it would be a smooth transition for him going back to the right side after 2 seasons of playing LT.

Livings has been OK, nothing stellar but struggled against smaller faster lineman in the TB game. Bernadeau has struggled more but that could have been expected with him due to his injury in the offseason.

Cook is not a good run blocker at least not better than Costa. He didn't appear on the team until the final cut down days so his struggles are expected.

Yeah, I agree on the cohesion thing. I said that in another thread I think.

And that could be a contributor to Free's struggles (both this year and last). He hasn't had many reps with Bernadeau and Bernadeau is struggling as well.

When he had that good year at LT, they stuck Kosier next to him. They stuck the more established vet (Livings) next to Smith this year. They stuck Kosier next to Smith last year while Free had a revolving door next to him.

Not to mention a new center who should be making the line calls.

Lots of things plaguing the line right now. I'm not dismissing lack of talent because that is a big part of it, but so is lack of time together and a lack of overall experience on the line.

how DARE anyone suggest Jerry Jones' #1 priority isn't improving this football team.

I would love to be a fly on the wall in the OL meeting room.

Yea, i hear you guys. I really wish people could just rationally discuss the topics that are brought up instead of always breaking off threads into some other silly discussion like who uses the ignore feature and how.

...that it leaves something to be desired, but we have invested in Callahan and we have to give him a chance to earn his keep.

It's too early to be writing off the season.

BTW, I think we win the East with a 9-7 record.

I hope so. Maybe they need more time to gel or the teams we have faced were pretty good upfront. I predicted a Super Bowl for the Cowboys at the start of the season. That prediction i am having second thoughts about because of the offensive line play.

...there are parts fo the team that are less than desireable right now.

As fans we have to let the coaches coach.

One of the best things I have seen over the past 10 years is a better focus by fans, forums and media on the discussion of the technical side of the game.

It deepens our fan experience and makes us more informed on where we should be throwing our darts.

We all must remember it's a 16 game season and like any other organization one year does not make a legacy.

Garrett is on the start line of his legacy. it has not all been roses, but as much as any other coach who has come before him, he has the tools from what media and others have said.

Last year I attended the Rams game and I focused in the warm ups on Garrett and Ryan. I can tell you with my humble and feeble opinion that the Cowboys had the right guy as the head coach.

Honestly you should have seen Campo. My guess would have been counter to yours. This is not the Superbowl year. We have a chance every year just like any other team, but I feel that Garrett needs another year to work on the roster.

Based on Parcells need and opportunity rule this was the year they focused on the secondary. I can live with that. I willing to bet one of the reasons why they did so was because Callahan possibly put his two cents in to say he could handle the line this year and roll towards the secondary.

It's a relatively new staff and they need us to give them a chance.

Antonio is the one who has held the franchise hostage for years now!

The offensive line is a mere scapegoat for lil' Antonio's failures.

When Kyle Orton steps in for an injured Antonio, you will see a vast improvement in line play!

The line will pass protect better for Orton. The line will open up running lanes for Murray with Orton at QB!

Orton will get the ball down field, and the Cowboys will score points in droves!

With Orton at QB, Austin and Dez will prove to the naysayers that they are a better duo than Jones and White!

And I will simply post three final words on this forum:I told you!

Are those really your final three words?
Did you know there are only 5000 Snow Leopards in the wild now and they are confined to Central Asia? However, the effective global population (those likely to reproduce) is less than half that number.
