Default Farmer eaten by his own hogs

Authorities in Oregon are investigating how a hog farmer was eaten by his animals.

The remains of Terry Vance Garner, 70, were found in his hog enclosure Wednesday, according to local news reports Monday.

The farmer had gone to feed the hogs, some weighing as much as 700 pounds, about 7:30 a.m., according to a report from CNN affiliate KMTR. After Garner was not seen for several hours, a family member went to check on him and found his dentures in the hog pen. Other remains were found, but the hogs had eaten most of the farmer, according to the report.

The sheriff's department is looking into the death.

I wonder who is going to eat the pigs. Would that make you a cannibal?

They will go through bone like butter. You need at least sixteen pigs to finish the job in one sitting, so be wary of any man who keeps a pig farm. They will go through a body that weighs 200 pounds in about eight minutes. That means that a single pig can consume two pounds of uncooked flesh every minute. Hence the expression, "as greedy as a pig".

Hogs are no Joke and you better be careful around them. My guess is he fell or something and got knocked out or what ever and they ate him. Maybe he had a heart attack. Anyone that think they are loveable animals needs their heads checked this is not Doc Hollywood.

Yeah I raised some in my FFA years way back when. Hated them. Love their bacon though.

Sounds like an episode of Hell on Wheels a month back.

And the good old boys, Mickey and Sean McGinnes, well, they too have an extremely dark and bloody side.
A mesmerizing sequence that certainly echoed the opening, the McGinnes brothers took to their attacker, the Butcher, like violently savage men. Not only was the scene bloody with their repetitive hammering, but essentially cutting the Butcher up and feeding him to the pigs?

This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.
