Well I was referring to the 90's Cowboys team in general.

Allen never played for Johnson. By the time Allen was at a stage of his career to be considered the "leader" of the oline the line was not "incredible" anymore.

Good, but not incredible.

Ok fine the point is the offensive line was way better than this one. This OL is a high school level joke and no way would Jimmy or any other great coach be able to win with this team.

I hear you.

Just for kicks though.

Compare the names of the o-linemen on the 1-15 team to the 10-6 playoff team two years later and the SB team the next year.

No he wouldn't. The notion that Orton over Romo is a vialbe solution is idiotic. Sorry if I'm being frank, but anyone with a good football IQ woul know that, and Jimmy Johnson's football IQ is off the charts.

Trent Dilfer: "Tony [Romo] has greatness in him. I think when you talk to other people that really play the quarterback position, there's a few guys that really have incredible greatness in them, and Tony is one of them. I think the issue here is he needs more help from his teammates. I think they are not nearly as talented as people say they are, from 1 to 53. I'm talking about the total roster.”

Had Jimmy taken over after the Bears game there would be more players on the asthma field than the practice field.

He would be hellbent on finding an O-Line and coordinator that would get the running game going. And he would release and fire coaches until he got what he wanted. He had David Shula as his O-Coordinator in part because Jimmy admired his dad so much and canned Shula after year 2 when he didn't get Emmitt the ball too much. Fired some O-Line coach in order to get Hudson Houck. We eventually got Norv, one of the best playcallers in the game and could beat teams with the run or the pass.

I think given time he would find the right person. I question how much the game has gone by, but I think fundamentally Jimmy would create a sound football team. Sorta like Joe Gibbs did in his return to the Redskins. While Gibbs was a failure in Washington his 2nd time around, they were better than when he got them (and after he left them).

Way too many people will not get your point. Nicely done. I was going to say Jimmy would have pushed them to improve or break. Radical change is the howling point of the hysterical masses.

Yeah a backup runningback who has a combined three carries is surely the issue with this team.

never said it was. jimmy had no issue cutting bums to send a message. felix would have been dealt with quickly after showing up out of shape. he'd either have cutted him or traded him by now.
