Are the Jets the Cowboys of the AFC?
I've noticed recently that the Jets are like us in quite a few ways.
-Constant media coverage(good and bad, mostly bad).
-Can't get a running game going.
-QB gets scrutinized every play.
-Receivers drop passes or deflect passes causing int's.
-A Ryan family member.
The only thing is we don't have a Tebow chants.
Maybe I'm looking to into it, but as far as I'm concerned keep the attention on them. Keep them Tebow chants coming!
Thoughts?

Seeing those deflected passes result in INT's definitely reminded me of the bad luck we usually have. They had many chances to win but a few tipped passes here and there made a big difference.
Very similar to what has usually happened to dallas. Although this year we havnt been close enough in our losses to have a crucial moment in the 4th qrter ruined by our own self destruction.

There haven't been any crucial moments in the 4th this season by this team because the team implodes on itself WAY WAY before that.
But, I get what you are saying and yes, The Cowboys are the Jets of the NFC.

We're more like the Bills. Everybody thinks they're going to do something special every year, they spend money to improve every year, they arn't cheap. Yet they draft the wrong players, they get the wrong players in the off season. They will give you a glimpse of hope and just as fast take it all away.

Nah, we're more like the Chargers.
Lame duck coach.
Good, but inconsistent QB.
Totally average defense.
Team that's reasonably talented, but finds the most ridiculous ways to lose.
Thus, a perennial underachiever.

That seems about right, except they get no media attention.

The Jets have overachieved in recent history, getting to two AFC Championship games with less overall talent than we have and Mark Sanchez at QB. Not really like us at all other than all the attention.

A.J. Smith may be equally as bad, which is truly an accomplishment in it's own right.

But you are right, Chargers don't get half the media "love" the Jets and Cowboys pull in.

Agreed. I think the overall cultures around the teams are similar, but where they've overachieved, we've vastly underachieved. We're direct opposites in that regard. They've never had anywhere near the same talent as Dallas.

The main reason the Jets get so much "media love" is Rex couldnt shut his pie hole for a couple of seasons.
