The new magic elixir these days is jalapeno juice.
Garrett to players: Make today a great day; go about the business of winning! If you can't keep up then don't step up.

Those players are Ratliff, Coleman, Kowalski, Costa, Wilber, Jones and the others who are coming back. It's been so long, that people think they are new guys....

Don't know why anyone would be upset about this either way. I wouldn't care if they brought in 76 guys. This team needs to be looking for ways to improve. Churning the roster is one way it can happen.

Never heard of them. Are they any good?

Exactly. They should've been working out players the minute after the bears game.

The idea of bringing in some players and looking at them is not the issue.
I doubt you would find too many people who would be upset with that, although this is the cowboys forum so I am sure there will be some that will complain no matter what.
The issue some have with it is the timing.
If you want to look at some players you had all last week to bring in some players...sign one if you want and then give them a few days to gel with the players, unit and learn the playbook even if it is in a minimal level.
Not waiting till Friday knowing you have a game on Sunday.
Hope that makes sense.

I'm all for bringing in new guys. Anything to light the fire under some of these underachievers.
"I could've done a $2 billion takeover (in another industry) with the capital I put in the Dallas Cowboys," he says. "I really could see (myself as) the idiot who had something real good, who blew it all to coach the Cowboys. I just knew that was going to be my legacy." Jerry Jones 9/14/2012

Praise Garrett in one thread.. diss him in the next.
Some of these posters are pretty short sighted it seems.

It's not the posters.
If this is true, and the team waited until after their bye week was over to look at street free agents, that on them, not the fans.
As Brain Paint so eloquently stated above, it's not that the team is looking at players, we're all for that, it's that they waited this long to do so.
All season long, the vast majority of the league has been having 'Tryout Tuesdays' regularly - except this team.
As obvious by their 2-2 record, this team is not so overstocked with talent that they couldn't look to add to what they have.
"I don't understand it Stephen, it's opening day 2014, where is everybody?"
