If you gave Macky B a training camp for his entire life he would still suck.

Good times.

As I remember, could be wrong, Callahan is the coach that recommended all 3 of these signings--Leary, Livings and Macky B. He was either restricted with what he could spend on OL or he has no idea, none, on evaluating OL.
So he was the one that recommended these 3 poor lineman and he has been unable to coach them up. He has also not been able to coach up Free or Smith. Only positive I've seen is one week of penalty free OL. Why do we have him? He's worthless as the below avg. OLinemen.

What a lame characterization. I've been incredibly critical of many aspects of this team over the years.
I do try my best, however, not to be a premature evaluator. But you seem comfortable with your PE.

It is a black and white issue. He was not starter quality in Carolina. He was given the chance to start and failed. Why would he be any good in Dallas? Callahan is not the miracle worker that some thought. Actually, he has failed as a coach. His three hand picked linemen has stunk.

It may well turn out that way. Me, I recognize that a guy coming off two surgeries may get his *** whooped by quality DTs. You really can't make miracles happen if your guy doesn't get any work in.
And Livings hasn't stunk.

The sad thing about this line situation is that the team and fans will forget about how bad they are when draft time rolls around. You will hear the same comments about linemen not being worth early picks and you can always get good linemen in the late rounds. I don't care who the coach is if some quality linemen are not drafted they will fail.

Houck's a legend. Easily one of the most revered OL coaches in league history but I started to wonder if he just got too old the last few years. Then Tyron arrived and thrived under Houck's coaching his rookie year. As a 20 year old. That convinced me of what I knew all along. It's a talent issue. These players just suck.
All the Callahan talk in the offseason was good for a laugh.

We'll settle this with a good dust up.

Bern didn't make any miracles for the Panthers either. Find another excuse. As for Livings, he may have played better than any other lineman. That doesn't mean he didn't stink. Raise your expectations. The whole bunch needs to go with the exception of Tyron and he needs to up his play at LT. Tyron is young enough to get much better.

We went cheap on bringing in offensive lineman in free agency and drafted none. We did need to fix our secondary arguably more than our interior oline but the fact remains .....we went cheap. Now we pay the price for it. Bernadeu has been awful, something needs to be done but probably wont. I dont get the lack of any kind of sense of urgency with jerry and Steven Jones. We bring in radaway and not Holland or anther og? I dont get it.

He was penciled in to start but got hurt in preseason last year. His replacement played well.
Now that raises other concerns about his durability but that is not a good basis for your claim.
