Wow Tim MacMahon this is a new low for you.

It's not that the Cowboys didn't think Hamilton knew the defense it was because he couldn't play ST or play the run as a 3-4 OLB. We already have guys like that in Victor Butler and they are hurting this team more than helping it.

Lets not forget the main thing here is that Hamilton is still on their PS and has yet to be called up to the roster.

He was given the option to sign in Dallas or Baltimore and he chose Baltimore.
Hamilton must be a severe liability against the run then, because Butler isn't all that fast and is also a liability against the run. Moreover, it seems as if Hamilton has more upside as a pass rusher than Butler.

Just take a look at the Seattle game, then run where Lynch broke a long run.

Look at the missed sack on Jay Cutler in the Bears game.

He's not the sole problem but a part of it.
"It's little bit like the description of pornography from years back. It's hard to define it. But you know what it is at the end of it. It's hard to define it. I think you know who is more physical. Often times you see that in the fourth quarter. A lot of time the team on the other side feels it. We pride ourselves on being a physical football team. It's important to us. It's an important time of the year to lay that foundation." - Coach Garrett

The problem is that Butler should have been gone this year. He has shown nothing in three years and he couldn't even sniff a starting job.

Hamilton may not be the answer but it would have been nice to try and find out if he could relieve Spencer and Ware and get to the QB.
Garrett to players: Make today a great day; go about the business of winning! If you can't keep up then don't step up.

Take a look at the Miami preseaosn game, and just watch Hamilton the whole game.

Take even further notice in the second half.

He's needs time to develop his game, and even though Butler is not that good he's the better option than Hamilton.
