Well as WVU fans we kind of should be cheering for Oklahoma.
We beat Texas when they were at a decent ranking. Oklahoma lost earlier this season so we need them to climb as high as possible and keep winning until we play them for our strength of schedule.
Now of course this does not mean that WVU is going to go undefeated until that time. Just saying that we need them higher ranked than they are now.
Hope that makes sense.
So simply from a what is best for WVU standpoint....Boomer Sooners.

I expect Oklahoma to struggle this year. The OL and Landry got some things in order last week but our defensive line has been less than stellar. They don't appear to be very physical and do get pushed around far to often for my liking.
Honestly, I am more worried about the defense than offense in this game, though Texas has a very solid defense.
If Landry can stay up and pass and is accurate, Oklahoma has a good shot.
Here is to a great RRS game.

I've got a prayer on my desk. It says, "Dear Lord, I pray that my place will never be with the cold, timid souls who do not compete yet criticize, for they never know or feel success or failure."

You're way ahead of me, and you're right.
I'm just hoping we can find a way to beat Texas Tech.
I have always loved the tradition and rivalry of Texas vs Oklahoma.
When we beat Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl a few years ago, it was a big deal to me.

Was wondering when you'd show up Dallas. So...... whatelitbe? Bitter to the death mortal enemies up to the end of the Saturday and then good friends again come Sunday? You know, the usual?
Or do you wanna change it up some this year?

Hahah. Hello ABQ. This year I will take a normal pasifist type of approach to RRS. We def have problems in Norman, so I have nothing to beat my chest over or hang my hat on.
I hope for a good game and an Oklahoma win in the end.

If Hicks doesn't play we're screwed, if he plays and doesn't play well we're in trouble. Phillips not starting at safety thank God. Hope it's a good game, tired of the butt kickings.

If there is a year in the last few where Texas is primed to win the RRS, this is the year. OU is a lot weaker this year than in year's past. With that being said, they are still OU. They can never be taken lightly.
Texas needs to pressure Landry all game long. He has shown that he will become quite flustered if he gets knocked around early and often. Jeffcoat and Okafor need to have a lot of one on one time with Jones tomorrow. Also, if Phillips plays, he needs to actually tackle.
I would like to see a lot of Daje Johnson and DJ Monroe in this game. Homerun hitters are definitely a must, and both can take it to paydirt in the blink of an eye.
Once again, the kicking game scares the heck out of me. Neither Texas kicker has shown me anything to be confident about. If this game comes down to the kicking game, I see bad things for the Horns.

yep, only in the RRR does this kind of thing seem to happen.
6-2 OU.....midway through the 1st
BTW, I wish the NFL would adopt the same rule that HS and College have about the defense being able to return a blocked PAT or failed 2 pt conversion for a safety.

Wow...
I guess this is the OU team people were predicting to be one of the top teams in the country.
Ivy League
Jason Garrett offense rank minus Tony Sparano: 18, 14, 7, 15, 15

Very poor defense by the Horns...
This game will either be a blowout or down to the wire...
This series is big for Texas...

Too bad they don't have a defense! Oops! Did I say that out loud?!
J/K (kind of). One of the scariest offenses I've seen in awhile. Seriously I'm not certain anyone is going to outscore them unless they turn the ball over. I'd like to see them play Oregon. Now that would be a barn burner.
I had to remind myself what a big game this is for both teams playing.
Did you know there are only 5000 Snow Leopards in the wild now and they are confined to Central Asia? However, the effective global population (those likely to reproduce) is less than half that number.
