Just reread the comics up again to Chapter 15 to get ready for Sunday. I'm excited for this show to come back and see how it all works out compared to the comics. The Governor is going to rock!

Btw....anyone seen Carl?

Well Jerry wouldn't need make up to be a zombie.

Watching the "WD" marathon off & on yesterday and today.

Especially listening to the Shane parts on the farm, thinking how long it's going to take Rick to become "Shane". Even though that character (Shane) was given a lot of issues, a lot of what we said while on the farm was accurate.

LOL!

If they did, then the show would be over in a couple more episodes.

I'm not sure if the bite is fatal or not. In conventional zombie lore, it would be... I'm not sure the writers are following that path or not.

It was a good premier episode.

I didn't think it was out & out great, but solid.

A lot of good zombie kills.

Dale in the comics and now Hershel in the series. That is if I am remembering the comics right.

Well, they are already infected, so that's 1 reason less to think he will die.

But then you have the "fever" issue that comes in, which is usually what kills you. Cuting off the leg might work since he did it right away...but i say it's 50/50 that he dies.

Anyways, i thought it was a good episode, some good action, the plot is going along forward and a nice little surprise at the end of the episode.

Agreed. Very good episode. To the point I was able to overlook the Scooby Doo type scenes in the prision halls.

Loved the first episode!

And did you guys see The Talking Dead afterwords? I was pretty certain the director dude said "hookers" and not "walkers" at one point...loved how the host halted and said, "Wait a minute, did you say hookers?"

Good first episode. Carl grew up a lot faster on the show than in the comics. Good move there since the "keep Carl out of danger, yet Carl runs right in to the danger" thing had run its course. His zombie kill with no remourse was obviously to establish that he had grown up and adjusted to the new world order.

I'm really interested how the prisoners work out on TV (I'm sure the people who read the comics would be interested as well). I doubt there time t the prison will drag, that's for sure.

As a side note, I rewatched the second season last week on NetFlix and man it was really good without the commercials. Way better than it was waiting from week to week. 18 Miles Out and Better Angels were phenominal episodes.

With the kid that plays Carl growing in real life pretty fast, its smart to have age pretty realistically in the show.
