Yep, but does not change the pleasure of seeing ND beat OU in Norman.
If I recall people have said the days of ND were done, I think those claims are a bit premature.

Tough weekend in my house. First the Sooner go down to the domers and now Dallas breaks my heart.
I hate when both the teams I pull so hard for, lose. It ends up being a looooong week.
Gratz to Notre Dame.
They played a heck of a game yesteday.
I've got a prayer on my desk. It says, "Dear Lord, I pray that my place will never be with the cold, timid souls who do not compete yet criticize, for they never know or feel success or failure."

Yep, and still doesn't change the fact that it's pathetic.
Grats to the Domers, they have a great defense and played inspired ball. I hope OU can return the favor next year in South Bend. Best of luck with the reast of your season.

same here, I get no joy out of seeing my biggest rival lose just because my team sucks.

What is pathetic? I don't like OU?
I am a big UT fan but have also been a fan of ND for a very long time. Only time I have not pulled for ND in a game is when they have faced the Horns.
As for OU, I would pull for any team to beat them.

i really hate ND.....OU is a rivalry hatred, plus they are only a great team cause of all the talent they recruit from the greatest football state in the country, Texas. ND is full of arrogance and lives in the past....actually they resemble our Dallas Cowboy fanbase to be honest......a storied past, huge fanbase, and fans who feel they are entitled to greatness.
My hatred for ND has to do with their arrogance and the fact they feel they are still an elite program, when quite frankly, aside from this year, they have not been relevant on the National Championship contender scene since the days of the Arkansas Adulterer staining blue dresses in the White House.

I will pull for anyone who plays OU. I absolutely despise them worse than any team in college or pro sports. It was very difficult for me to be a Cowboys fan when Switzer was head coach for that very reason.
That being said, I've never been too big on ND either, but I really like Manti Te'o. A great player and very humble as well. So I will take great pleasure in the Irish win in Norman.

I love your hatred. Makes me feel all warm
Because it is the hatred of inferiority and jealousy.
Yes we had a bad 15 years or so. You really do not want to talk about how many years YOUR program was bad at any one time do you?
Outside of this last stretch ND was not irrelevent from 1913 on except for a few years here or there. 80 years.
You really do not want to compare programs do you?

I was hoping Mike Stoops' return would show the talent level on defense is better than people think. I still think it is.

Just saw this since burm bumped the thread, but glad to see I'm not alone. The only possible argument I can think of is that the kids love throwing all the time, but the old school way works for ND and K-State and most of all, LSU and Alabama. The way everyone copies the most successful teams, I'm really surprised more teams don't try to copy Bama.
Granted, not all teams can get the players to do that. But OU should be one of the storied programs that can.
