This season has been crazy good so far. The zombie slaying is balls to the wall.

Well I guess maybe that's the whole point of the series then
The more I think on it, the more I think it's just the writing I don't like. Every character trait seems forced in that they aren't allowing the character development to be subtle. It's painfully obvious who they want the characters to be.
During season one I kinda cringed a couple of times, but I think now I'm just totally turned off by it. The first scene was the one with the 3 women (Andrea, Carol and Jacqui maybe) and they make a joke about a vibrator. It was just corny and I think that instances like that have happened more and more often.

Totally agree. I really like how the characters evolved since last season and the Zombies have been overflowing so far. The next few episodes should be really good. Hopefully a little background for Michonne and some catch-up with what happened with her and Andrea since season two ended.

The reason the zombies are overflowing is because it's a prison and they didn't have a way to get out. Personally I would have stayed on the outside and just killed them through the fence before going in.

You should read the books. I love the show...but it doesn't even compare to the book series. Amazing.
As for the season so far...wow, what can you say? The first 2 episodes so far are two of the best of the series, in my opinion.
And yeah...saying the characters aren't believable because...1. A pregnant girl in a zombie apocalypse is too emotional? Really? lol I know girls more emotional than her, without being pregnant or the fear of having a zombie baby inside them
2. Hershel's innocent daughter, all she has ever known is her small town, small farm, easy simple life...now she has to watch people kill Walkers, kill humans, etc.
3. Rick ice cold...why wouldn't he be? His best friend tried to kill him, the guys in the bar tried to kill him, Walkers are trying to kill him, and everything that happened before the prison...i totally understand how ice cold he is. And even after he locked the door to the prison, leaving the prisoner outside with the Walkers, he still had the "God...i had to do it" type of look on his face.
4.Carl, he's growing up in a world with death and blood all over, normal kids are rebelious and fight with their parents...imagine in a zombie apocalypse.
Totally understand the evolution of the characters.

A young guy I know has decided to stop reading the stories as he finds it too depressing. He describes the stories as "vacuuming up all hope". I, on the other hand, don't take it seriously at all. I must clearly state, for the record, that I have declined to go on a "Zombie Walk".

Great show, this season has been amazing so far.
A man has to do what a man has to do. That is especially true when he is defending his family and friends. Rick is a real man and he is going to do WHATEVER he has to keep his family alive, even if it means going against everything he use to believe in.

Stuff got real with this episode... The Governor is indeed a twisted freak. Here's hoping he proves to be a better antagonist than even Gus Fring or the Trinity Killer.

Well...I was waiting for him to go into his locked room, waiting for him to sit down and then waited for his daughter to move into the scene...only to see aquariums with zombie heads in them.
I realize the show tries to be different than the book but I thought the daughter thing would have fit in well but I guess they had enough little zombie girls with sophia.

The book is in many ways, which I guess they had to tone it down for TV, just really... effed up, when it comes to folks doing weird or ghastly stuff.
Like the part in the book where the convict beheads two of Herschel's daughters.
I wasn't ready for that at all.
